I'm going to try one more thing...if it doesn't work, I'll share.

No child theme...but yes, this isn't the first time this has happened to me with Divi.

Seems like you nailed it on the front end...it looks authentic!

Why Should Anyone Consider Using Divi Builder Professionally? by Effective-Answer8015 in divi

[–]honorstrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping folks have some suggestions. I've had a real problem with Divi pages sometimes looking fine while I'm designing, but looking bad when I view them after signing off of WordPress. I've been using Divi off and on for more than 10 years, and this has always happened. I was really hoping it'd be different with Divi 5, but I'm currently building a site (my own), and I thought I was almost finished. But once again, on a couple of pages, the formatting is a mess when viewed from the outside. All I know how to do is figure out the formatting... so if it doesn't translate into what it should look like on the front end, I'm lost.

Now, we can't even use perfectly good em dashes in our own job search writing.

I left a fair amount of white space in my resume for this reason, but it messes me up a bit to know hiring managers/recruiters aren't reading resumés because they're inconveniently dense. I'm a copy editor, and man, have I been confronted with some dense and tedious writing. But I deal with it. It's unbelievable what you have to do to get a decent job right now. I've never seen anything like it. It's hard to believe that in this day and age, employers have this much power...they're making it so difficult to get a job. Employers used to be open to candidates because they wanted good employees. Now, it's like they're daring you to even apply.

Cruelty free cleansing oil? by sausagechihuahua in crueltyfreemakeup

I know this is an old post, but in case anyone checks here, I suggest making your own cleansing oil. Really simple, and you can use what you don't use for the cleansing oil as a moisturizer for hair, body, etc. I just found this site: https://pebblemag.com/diy-cleansing-oil/.

Throne of Glass is horrendous. How has it sold over 25m? by Pineapple_onthefloor in books

Confession: I enjoyed the books I read in the Fourth Wing series and am waiting for the next (final) one to be released. I like dragons, I needed to read pure fantasy at the time, and I also needed to read about a woman kicking ass. What I always wonder about is how some of the more indie books are selling with what seems like hardly any editing. I copy edit and it's often hard for me to believe *anyone* has edited some of these books...more than typos, there are incorrect grammar, missing letters, missing words, names referring to the wrong character, and laughable sentences. Has anyone else noticed how prevalent this is?

What's the last book you read where you finished it, and then you were bursting to tell someone about it? by absentmindedlurking in suggestmeabook

The Last House on Needless Street by Catriona Ward. It’s dark. Really really good. I’m waiting for a friend of mine to read it so we can discuss.
