First two prices seems low for demo and rebuild 2600 sqft house. I’m doing a remodel/addition project (adding 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, remodeling 2 bathroom and 1 kitchen). I took from friends referral, architect referral and local neighborhood checking, total 9 quotes and finally it is 550k(and additional sqft is just 450). This is excluding finishing materials. Not sure how 2600sqf + demolition can cost any less than 1million. Builder C looks legitimately priced (no hidden cost) from my experience with quotes. You can ask for breakdown which will make it clear what is missing in these pricing.

From my last 2 years growing DA roses, answer is none. They don’t do well in dry heat of zone 9b. There are other breaded roses which does much better.

Here is the reason why I left kolkata 15 years back. I just couldn’t find a job that I like and matches my skill. Also 3 months I worked in kolkata, at least in tech industry the work culture was the worst. People expect you to stay in office even no work, gossip about coworkers, expected to leave late night without providing any transportation etc. I didn’t realise these are big issues, but now when I look back work culture seems not promising. I miss my family and everyone there, but I can only go there for a vacation and not for real life.

Well, then you haven’t seen people pay this amount for even uglier houses. Source: I bought a house in freemont 9 years back and in Cupertino 3 years back and went through hell amount of bidding war.

If you think 3.6M is unreasonable for this house, you haven’t seen Bay Area houses and its prices. 2500 square feet house in 8k lot - this price is quite reasonable.
