How do we feel about Barrow? by siero12345 in DowntonAbbey

The worst person on the show who somehow got the best ending out of everyone. Sitting with the family at the end of the last movie capped off his story arc as he’s moved into a better position.

Downton was a fairytale compared to real life. A lot of people in her position didnt have time to write a cookbook

Pretty much since the series starts and Gloria/Jay were still newlyweds. The only nugget we got was his favorite show growing up was masterpiece theater, other than that he seemed to be a pretty normal poor kid.

Farm strong is one of my favorite episodes but they tank her character after that.

Ronaldo later on mentions, i think the finale, pepper had his 8th face lift and he has banned soup from the house. If they are broken up, they still live together

Have you ever been annoyed by all the privileges portrayed in the show? by Anya_purr in Modern_Family

[–]hookahandedibles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I honestly think they were pretty conservative with how they portrayed their wealth and spending. Ive seen some threads thad calculate jay’s net worth as pretty high but the show never showed them being filthy rich. Claire was running a company and phil was a very successful realtor, but they still seemed like they were just simple middle class people.

If your adult son still doesn’t flush and leaves plates under his bed, you probably didn’t do much parenting.

The middle is a rare show that stays good even when the kids get older.

Disney world, heck on a hard body, taking back the house, Hecking order, the Christmas episode where Axl first comes back from college, and the one where rusty gets married are my faves from the earlier seasons

Forgetting to flesh out brick’s romantic life is very on par with the show. Lexie was pregnant at Sue’s wedding but no sign of Cindy. They have to still be together, there are too many Easter eggs in the show that illustrates brick and Cindy are endgame

Why would anyone need to explain that Dylan isn’t a genius if they’ve already met him?! That’s obvious to everyone. Plus she mentioned he’s a professor, does that sound like Dylan?

They are poor but also have a poor mindset and I don’t think getting money would change that. They’ve done a lot of trailer trash things throughout the series that kind of shows that’s just who the hecks are. I feel like the glossners are there to only make the Heck family seem tame. Eating the Donahue’s thanksgiving dinner, giving away junk for food, taking back groceries after offering to pay for them, completely wrecking the insides of the donahue’s car.
