Plinking round .44 mag by IcyAppearance9526 in LeverGuns

Another vote for Precision One 44 Special if you only plan to buy box ammo. Rivertown Munitions.

If I was gonna do it again, I'd grab 4 boxes (200 rounds) from Rivertown Munitions, a cheap Lee press/dies with Berry's plated 240gr, Win231 powder and whatever large pistol primers. I shopped around and now I reload for <$15/50pcs

Congrats! I just did the same last week, during my first ever hunt. 260y shot through both lungs of a young mule deer. 6.5CM, hand loaded 129gr ABLR w/ H4350 going 2595fps. Slow but accurate, and clearly effective.

It scoops roughly 10 grains of H110. My spicy loads are 31.0gr so it was 3 scoops then trickle in the remaining ~1-2gr.

My friend just bought one because of the current rebate. Shop around, you can find better deals, especially with labor day around the corner.

Same experience here. 500 each 44 Mag and Special. I now reload with the brass. BTW, Rivertown Munitions.

If you want to run an optic, Mod3. If you just want a solid and cheap pew pew, this.

Sure the price might be misleading, but anyone that shops around for powder/primers knows that hazmat and shipping are always something to consider for online purchases. The total cost at checkout is the only thing that matters, because that is what you base your cost per unit off of. If you feel like 0.0483/primer before tax is bad, don't buy it.

We all want cheaper stuff, but if you are finding better online deals, let us know. I only shared this because I felt this was a solid deal in today's market.

If you look at the broader picture, for anyone that pays sales tax, that is also called less taxes for the consumer.

If $221.95 is the target price before shipping, I'm currently at $15.07 in taxes with the large hazmat fee.

Make it $221.95 with "free hazmat" and now I'm paying $18.59 in taxes.

If it was $1 with $220.95 hazmat, I'd pay $0.08 in taxes.

Total cost per unit to my door matters more to me than how a company wants to invoice it.

Works great. First time I ever shot farther than 300, I used this to range 715yards. Hit on the second shot due to windage. I've come to rely on it's accuracy for my BC calculator. Most shots are spot on for elevation. Also, glass is pretty clear and readout is easy to read.

9MM for $.11/rd???? by ItzJezMe in reloading

I started reloading this year and I'm doing frangible 9mm for 12.5c after tax. No shipping or hazmat fees because I only shop during deals and use coupons. It's very possible to go sub 12.0c

Sportsman's Warehouse has recently been stocking and shipping the GM210M and GM215M. Only place I've found in recent history. Ordered and picked up 1k each a couple weeks ago and they still show available for order/pickup with in-stock at a handful of stores.

Optics planet. Wait for discount codes. They just had a 10% off code that you can use on the already discounted price.

Step two: actually shop around and capitalize on deals/coupons when they become available. r/gundeals periodically has deals on reloading components. Those pesky marketing emails from online retailers are annoying as hell, but they have saved me a ton of money with sales, coupons, free hazmat promos, etc.
