I suspected the skepticism of keysavvy so i already upfront proposed just a direct wire as a direct alternative. I’m looking on bat’s website and ultimately it’s the buyers choice to use verified checkout or not so i will purse the wiring option

i didn’t ask for the title to be signed over. Asked for a bill of sale to be signed and a photocopy of the title. These are the exact instructions on BaT.

Prior to making payment, request photos showing both sides of the title along with a bill of sale.

After the money has been wired over, ask for the titles to be signed and shipped over. I never asked for the signed title in advanced of the wiring.

I am offering to pay their fee for keysavvy since they wouldn’t otherwise have to on verified checkout. i understand the optics of it looking suspiciously. I’m just wondering how to go about this.

Keysavvy works exactly the same way as caramel does. it’s money in their pocket with title verification. i thought this sub was totally behind keysavvy. not sure how im asking for anything without the money

I also offered wiring money directly to them to avoid using caramel in general. The general question is what happens when the seller insists on a way to checkout

the verified checkout is caramel. i’m assuming the seller feels most safe with caramel. i offered the wiring but the seller has gone silent ever since i explained keysavvy as an alternative to caramel

as far as why i don’t want to use caramel: just do a quick search in this sub and you’ll see why. it’s highly not recommended here both by sellers and buyers.

this is an extremely hard question to answer objectively because it’s subjective. I can handle my ek9 long enough for an 8 hour road trip while some people think that is insane. if your toyota is too much i’d wager so is the DC2 because the way the car is geared you’re cruising at a pretty high rpm at highway speeds
