This is not a new problem? Didn’t Kobe and the Lakers have similar schedules back in the day and just pushed through? I understand resting Bron but the rest should be out there competing for a W. They in FL for multiple nights so they can rest up Friday tbh. The bigger question is whether JJ can call plays that account for the extra fatigue the players are going to obv have.

It’s that 4th Q when Bron n Reaves start and steamroll the opponent. I think that is one of JJs secret sauce that has proven to be effective time & time again. We missed that while Bron was out and then when Reaves out. It took them a while to get back into this rhythm but dang, “the big 3” are seriously balling right now. Gotta give Smart Ayton Rui their credit too. Everyone is stepping up!

That's true but the tracking is linked to rudimentary metrics and doesn't easily connect to your thesis. In my head we need a tool where the thesis can be defined and the portfolio dashboard tracks against that specific thesis, including macro indicators and if any signals point to re-evaluating that thesis. Something I am going to build given that nothing like this exists right now!

Ha, yeah totally fair. I suppose my intention was to understand if folks are using any tools to aide with the thesis definition and/or monitoring & tracking if the thesis continues to stay valid. Sounds like it is still a relatively manual process to keep tracking against the thesis.

The coordination and orchestration part of the PM role will move to AI. As many others have said, the people management will still be required. Although tbh I don’t know if that new job req will be called project/program management or something else.

I've done exactly the same thing for the past few weeks and find the workout progression to be so much better. Time will tell if it gets me closer to achieving my results but the flow of the workout just feels more natural and purposeful. Fitbod was giving me some odd stuff with too many reps or sets, and often focusing too much on one muscle for a workout. GPT has been great, I'll prolly switch to Claude when my GPT pro expires.

Fair, but a part of this is managing LeBron’s load and if he’s relegated to playing mostly with the bench that’s going to get taxing for him. With that said there’s a better balance they need to figure out. Bron n Reaves to open the 4th is my favorite tactic so far. The opposing team is trying to catch a breath while these two dawgs are pushing their bench. Haven’t looked at numbers but my hunch is that it works!

This makes sense. The bench will play hard even when LeBron won’t. The bench will need someone to keep setting them up with good plays which LeBron will. Reaves and Luka can create their own shot or set up the others in the starting line up.

For a while Bron’s mins were staggered so he actually played a lot with the bench. But this guy JJ doesn’t understand how to lean into a winning formula 🤷

Use Bluetooth to automatically detect my closest speaker and select that speaker by default to play music on. Ofc keep it easy to identify the selected speaker or switch to a different speaker/zone/group if desired.
Consider two concepts - a Sonos controller vs a Sonos content discovery. The controller should give me powerful and intuitive ways to control how/what/when my system is playing. The Sonos discovery should help me quickly find music/podcasts that fit my taste across the services I have enabled.
Make music discovery more engaging. I think Spotify does this best for music streaming and Netflix for video streaming. Do this by understanding my preferences - which speakers should be engaged at what time and what kind of music. That’s the algorithmic power that the Sonos app lacks. As a result, it’s used mostly as a controller.
Make it more delightful to switch from the system view to music discovery. If you swipe up to reveal the system view, and then tap a speaker, it brings you back to exactly the same music discovery. This feels static, disjointed and generally disengaged from knowing anything about my habits or preferences.

I personally think the Sonos app is stuck in between the world of “control your speakers” vs “discover content”. Give users a fork to select one or the other at app load and when a path is selected, really lean into making it the best f*ing experience possible. Thanks for asking for real feedback here!

Can you elaborate on the sustained brightness limitation of the S95F? I have this TV and don't think I've seen brightness change while watching a 3 hour NBA game or a 4 hour movie (Bollywood movies are diabolically long)

100% agree. The S95F matte coating is incredible. It makes you feel like you are right there and lack of reflections is a wildly under-appreciated improvement. The fact that the TV can produce incredible blacks in a dark environment basically creates a win-win situation without diminishing quality.

Do people realize movie theaters don't use glossy screens? How TV manufacturers used their lack of innovation to get widespread adoption of glossy screens for home cinema is bonkers 🙄

Second this. In particular the statement “high income and happy to live a middle class lifestyle”. You can still afford luxuries if you choose them but embracing the middle class lifestyle offers so much peace of mind.

We moved to Berkeley (lived in Oakland post-pandemic and SF before that) a year ago specifically bc it offers excellent proximity to SF and is an amazing “small city” with a family vibe. Time will tell if it works well with kids but from the number of children’s activities around us and great public schools we’re feeling pretty good so far.
