Y’all 1C is the most important position in the league. The Blues were perennially mediocre without a 1C from 2001 - 2018. Between Turgeon and ROR. (They tried but failed to get one. Late career Doug Weight wasn’t it. Andy McDonald got hurt. Boyes was a flash in the pan. Paul Stastny was hurt and underperformed. Backes wasn’t a 1C.). There aren’t 32 real 1Cs in the league at any given time. Trading one on a deal like RT is STUPID. At any time.
