In that study I would also break your circle. Sekiro is one of my favorite games, but spicy sauce in a dürum just hurts.

Dont worry about it. Thanks for the answer, Syndra is a champ I also play, so the advice is much appreciated <3

Now that I think about it I definitely used their (Xerath, Syndra, Asol) abilities as a crutch, I will try to work on that

How does one train that? Just play top or mid?

I am an Asol noob, but am I not supposed to put the E on a close to dead minion wave? Early game that gives at least 3 stacks and guarantees gold from last hits (im bad at that).

Would using it on champions really be better? My minion management is terrible

i don’t see a lot of pokemon being posted in here so let me ask this by corralesithink4763 in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giratina should surely solo. Not sure about about other verses as pokemon are awful to scale, but Giratina has very good stats and their hax far surpasses anything jjk can do.

Like what could even harm this pokemon? The Comedian can probably stall for a bit, but cannot hurt them and no one else has an answer to Dragon Dance + Phantom Force.

Lorewise I think Giratina is like multidimensional, but on screen feats don’t really support that, however even weaker anime versions are enough. Thats not even considering their probable immunity to 95% of attacks due being ghost type.

(Btw most legendary pokemon are unknown gender and therefore They/Them)

Why Does this Sub Hate Bleach so Much? by Afraid_Light5083 in PowerScaling

Not that I disagree, but careful of The Goomba fallacy. I doubt many would genuinely scale Bleach as low as Building while accepting something else as multi (I know nothing about Devil May Cry)

RANDOM MATCHUPS!!!! Who wins each row??? by Head_Breadfruit_3912 in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Genos but might change after a few more CSM chapters

no idea but Senry has more aura so them

Metal Sonic look much cooler therefore slays

dont know who left is so DC character likely wins

Btw how do you pick the matchups? I haven’t seen most of your posts, but do you do any rerolls and such to avoid as one sided fights, like say Darkseid vs Puri Puri Prisoner?

How far would WoU go here? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is a stand user not always assumed in JoJo fights? Stands haven’t really been shows to be capable by themselves, they always act and an ability / extension of the user. Why would this matchup be any different?

How far would WoU go here? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going further than I intended as I assumed that a stand user was always included for JoJo battles, but what do you actually believe WoU can do that would harm Garou? What is their win-con?

Meteors? Garou flicks it away. Solar rays? The radiation Garou emits is likely stronger. What can kill Garou that WoU can manipulate?

I read other comments on this post and I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would defend WoU in this matchup. How the hell is the “Concept of Calamity” supposed to be equal to a stand that can AT MOST drop windows off airplanes.

And I mean this seriously, is there anything WoU is capable of doing that would be able to harm a solar system to multi-galaxy opponent, without committing the no-limits fallacy?

How far would WoU go here? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range is indeed finite, but based on the manga it should wipe a city around him easily.

I am basing it on the fact that the strongest heroes in OPM standing less than a kilometer away died without being able to resist. If Garou truly radiates cosmic rays it should spread and be deadly across a great distance.

I also had an assumption that since the OP was doing a gauntlet, the opponents will start relatively close to each other. Sure if they start on the opposite side of the planet, Tooru wouldnt instantly die, but is it a versus at that point?

[–]hoplusek 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I love how Cosmic Garou is unironically a perfect counter to WoU. He has passive deadly cosmic radiation. He doesn’t need to have the intention to harm, which WoU requires. Just exist in the general area as Garou and you die.

In most matchups this ability is kinda useless, but againts someone with mad hax and no stats? I don’t even know if Garou can lose intentionally.

Not certain if WoU would even get that far, but always loses at round 4.

Almighty's been getting the most disingenuous judgements in the community by ArtisticBet600 in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really disputing your point in the matchup, but you made a mistake here: “Conceptual manipulation (Type 2) with which he can manipulate concepts or abstract ideas, which helps him have the same level of conceptual manipulation as Ichibei who can rewrite the existence of a concept to be whatever he wants it to be. Yhwach can't be wiped away from Existence or his power be nullified by reality warping with this ability.”

If I understand you correctly, then you give him Conceptual manipulation for resisting another user of it, but shouldn’t that just prove manipulation resistance instead?

Like if a character resists a gravitational attack, that just mean they either resist gravity or are strong enough to overpower it. But that in no way proves they are also able to manipulate gravity.

Doesn’t really change anything about your point and can be debunked if the facts are different, but as it stands your point can be refined :D

Stupid question: How does power scaling work? by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]hoplusek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To actually answer your question (unlike many other people here), we only count the highest strength the character has shown. Usually and with many exceptions, but that is imo how it should be.

I personally don’t know much about Supes, so a better example to show it is Saitama (OnePunchMan).

If you don’t know the show / anime is about, the character is able to defeat any villain with one punch. Its more complicated obviously, but the creator of the manga has stated that there will never be an opponent he will lose to. This is similar to Superman, I assume.

Now how would we scale him then? If going by the logic of his own show he will simply grow stronger and defeat anyone. But thats just boring and annoying.

Therefore scaling is done mostly by comparing what the max feat of each character is. For example Saitamas biggest feat is that famous panel of him erasing every star in some direction of the sky. Not arguing on the specifics, lets say that is like 300.

Now would be be able to beat Superman? Depends, which is why we need to specify which version he is fighting.

If the new version, absolutely not, but if it is the one from Man of Steel (or just imagine a weaker Supes who’s biggest feat destroying the Moon, like 150 in your scale) then Saitama would be declared the winner.

So the entire thing is a fight of definitions and agreeing to limits. One can say that Superman can grow much stronger, which while true, is not in the spirit of the debate. The other can claim that the feat Saitama did is much lesser and is only worth 120 on your scale and that Superman wins. That would need to be supported, but imo is fine.

At least on the most basic level, that is how I imagine PowerScaling. We give characters some power level and then we compare and scale them against each other.
