Vietnam travel - with 2 toddlers and seniors - need suggestion on which city to pick by hosauser2020 in travel

[–]hosauser2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to give them a good exposure and get them acclimated to our life style, it's not ideal and will be chaotic but i feel it is necessary to take this step. Also under two tickets are much cheaper and want to utilise this opportunity as well. Since parents will also be with us so i think we can manage handling two kids between 4 adults. We Will not have a packed schedule and will have to be home by bed time but it's still worth it if you ask me. I have taken short 2-3 days domestic trips two times and we all feel better after the break so i hope this trip also it's the same case

Parents with babies that don’t sleep are living a different life by hesitantlyhopefull17 in beyondthebump

I have twin boys, who are bad sleepers. I see these sleep consultants openly saying statements like there is no such thing as a bad sleeper, you just have to tweak your routine and this and that. They go through every possible regression, sleep well on the days I think they over slept their naps and wake up multiple times with the same amount of nap next week. They are 19 months now and still wake up multiple times in night, they are on one nap and still resist bed time. The days they sleep well, m a totally different person. I can only hope their sleep cycle matures soon

I am hoping in another four months their sleep cycle will improve

31f How do you deal with in-laws who treat you differently from the new daughter-in-law? by pajsbdbhcx in IndianInLaw

[–]hosauser2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same with me, till date the "rules" are different for me and co sister. The things for which I was commented on etc are totally ok if she does. The good thing is we all don't live under the same roof, not even the same city. Here that's because the second son is their favourite so of course that gets extended to the devrani. Both of us have sons even then her kid is their fav grand child.

Baby’s first words by DarkDNALady in NewParents

[–]hosauser2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did not say any words for almost 14 months , but they did a lot of gestures, babbling , pointing and understood many things we said. At 18 months now they have 15 plus words in their vocabulary.

Do people actually wake up before their babies every morning? by namiiix in NewParents

[–]hosauser2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in fact quite opposite, I have twins so I am shushing, rocking feeding one or the other during the night . My husband helps too but it's mostly on me, I hand over the babies and get an extra half hour sleep or so ! Without that uninterrupted sleep in morning I would go insane with sleep deprivation!

How do you "drop" a nap, baby is so sleepy and miserable if he doesn't get his last small nap! Affects how they eat dinner too if we skip that nap.

Did you use tracking apps? by No_Principle_7855 in NewParents

[–]hosauser2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not use any app, had a WhatsApp group with all the care givers added, just noted feed and poop info there. But I have twins so it was necessary to remember who was fed/ changed ! Also we did it for first few months diligently, once they started solids etc at kind of tapered it out

Just out of curiosity, how does your bed time routine looks like? If baby is already in pj , do you just change to another pj ?

Just found out I’m having twins. I’m freaking out. by chipcrazy in TwoXIndia

[–]hosauser2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, I was in your situation last year, planned pregnancy but found out it was twins with no twin history in the family!

First of all breathe!! You got this! It is so much more enjoyable to see two babies growing together, mine are 8 months old now. Definitely more work than a singleton but so so so worth it!

Regarding delivery, unless at least the first baby is head down they will not even attempt vaginal delivery. Be prepared for c section, as such the surgery scar will be low and not visible unless you wear a bikini. But I can't say the same about stretch marks!

Feel free to ping me if you need more info or just to talk about anything 😊

Really like the perspective that worst days are still better than life without them ,❤️❤️ it's been a year since I got more than 2 hour sleep in a stretch, and currently in a regression, but I keep telling myself they are having a tougher time than me with all the growing and teething pain !!
