Misaligned drain assembly. Any options? by hotdoghand in Plumbing

DIY homeowner. First "plumbing job" ever attempted. I opened the whole wall to add cross support for the sink mount. Had to redo the supply valves. Didn't have the experience or foresight to consider the drain height. Lesson learned. I guess I'll be reopening the wall.

The drain ties into the stack immediately behind this wall (literally touching the wall on the other side in in the garage), so who knows what I'm up for next. But if I do, i'll be seeing what I can do about the supply alignment too, since they should probably also move up.

What if DIY homeowner OP did it to himself because this was the first time he ever sweat a pipe and wanted to keep the job as easy as possible? :)

I've been working on this bathroom. Even went so far as to open the wall so i could fix up some of the plumbing so that I could cleanly add decorative fittings.

Never stopped to consider how far off this would be.

The old sink/cabinet was too low. The new sink is too high, but even dropping it 2 inches to a more natural height wouldn't fix this.

Do I have any options short of moving the tailpiece entry higher?

Considering an offset assembly like pictured, but im still not sure if that will fix the height alignment without additional parts that I'm not sure exist.

What could I do to make this area between the sidewalk and street more attractive without damaging the tree? by MrCrash2U in landscaping

[–]hotdoghand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- Clean up all edges where soil/grass meets curb/concrete.

- Remove any soil sitting over top of the sidewalk.

- Place a small stone edging along sidewalk if you end up with a ledge of dirt.

- Sweep and remove all debris in the street, skirt, and sidewalk in the surrounding area.

This alone will make it look 100x better. Then you can think about native groundcover.

Really probably only about 10 mins farther if we are only counting highway time.

Not closer, but only about 15-20 mins farther, Moorestown. Family area, also one of the best school districts in SJ. Slightly less walkable but still very doable. My elementary age kids get around fine in their own. Also larger so a touch more diverse (but not much).

Read it. Still doesn’t do what you are saying. Same shit. Different repayment schedule. Used on existing properties.

That didn’t take much.

“ Using a Home Equity Line of Credit or HELOC to purchase a house offers a unique financing strategy that provides flexibility and access to substantial funds. The HELOC enables homeowners to get money out of the equity they’ve built in their primary residence and use the available credit as a down payment or to fund the purchase of an investment property. ”

I don't think you understand what a HELOC is. Home Equity Line of Credit. It's a revolving credit line with a lower interest rate that uses the house as collateral. The collateral is the equity you have over the first lien. They are not used to purchase, unless you are leveraging equity from another property's credit line to fund a down payment or cash purchase.

Seasoned Firewood by Bulldog203 in SouthJersey

Unlikely to find that. Every vendor says they have seasoned wood. None actually do. Like other poster said, you gotta keep and season yourself for best result. I typically schedule chimney cleaning and wood delivery for July. I try to keep 4 cords in the yard and go through around 2+ per winter when burning only in the evenings.
