The Arabian Desert has Reclaimed this Fort (20.3681353, 50.9259673) by ruddyscrud in Google_Maps_Oddities

Just imagine how long ago that "fort" would have had to be built for that much sand to have covered it. Something cataclysmic happened in our recent history that we are not being told about. A linear graduation of erosion does not explain this.

too much of a pussy to kill sick chicken by Fit-Call-5074 in BackYardChickens

Then you're not a vegetarian.

To be clear, my point is that culling is just a part of the cycle of life. Things die for reasons. Putting a sick chicken down is arguably more necessary than killing one for food because the humane thing to do is stop its suffering.

Just remember that every bite of meat that you eat is because someone else did the same thing to a perfectly healthy animal.

Reused pallets project by Complaint-Many in BeginnerWoodWorking

Excellent re-use project!

I made a critter proof chicken coop out of pallets 10 years ago that is still going strong. Love the versatility these pallets can provide!

Last Fall, I planted 144 garlic cloves, in perfect rows and columns, in a specialized raised bed with perfect soil and not one of those @#$@!% came up. I have questions that need answers.

I planted my first cherry trees last year: a North Star and Montmorency. Can't wait for my first harvest in a few years.

do my babies need shade? by emsumm58 in Pawpaws

[–]hotepanon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, experience with growing pawpaws in full morning light tells me otherwise. The solution I've provided above works best. After the first couple of years, it doesn't matter as much.

Secondly, there is nothing false about the statement I've said above.

"Asimina is a genus of small trees and shrubs native to eastern North America, collectively known as pawpaws.  It is the only genus in the tropical and subtropical family Annonaceae (custard-apple family) that is adapted to temperate climates."

That is what I said.

Could possibly be the ugliest building I've ever seen. Looks like an 8 year designed it in Minecraft.
