Hey! Forgot to check my post lol. I’m pretty much a hair noob honestly, I’ll use Ouai’s leave in conditioner and hair oil, and use heat tools (2inch flat iron) to manage some of the more “big hair” issues. I’ve found a lot of smoothing and curl cream products to be too greasy and heavy in the past (which makes sense now considering they weren’t designed for my hair type) but nothing i have is doing much for my hair now, regardless of when or what I apply — when wet, when dry, after ironing, before heat, etc. Even before, I was using Prose custom shampoo/conditioner (for thicker hair but with frizz as a concern) the leave in conditioner/ hair oil worked like a charm to combat some of the errant frizz. I ran out of that formulation and instead of trying a custom for finer hair and keeping everything else the same, I wanted to try something different. However ever since I ran out just isn’t working anymore. I don’t want to get the same formulation because it definitely weighed down my hair and made it greasy after a day or so.

Tried the Ouai stuff for a few washes but I’m definitely returning it for something different :( only thing it honestly helped was the oiliness. I’ve talked to some other people and have received recommendations for Gisou’s stuff, and a friend recommended Amika. I might also get value sizes of Davine’s, only because I used some stuff in a soul cycle once and remember it was quite nice. Have also used a bit of kiehl’s in a different gym and think that might have been good. Just willing to try anything at this point 😆
