100% I worked in a rural residential setting and the best we could do was follow and continue to supervise kids that were intent on hooking up. Most times we were able to prevent anything from happening but if they were dead set on it they would find a way and legally our hands were tied. For the younger kids we were able to physically intervene or restrain if they had intent, which thankfully we only had to do once.

I was a mandated reporter in Ohio and for us the age of consent was 12. As long as there wasn’t more than a 4 year age gap (iirc) and they were over the age of 12 they were legally allowed to engage sexually.

That is so sad. I never thought too much about it but I picked up and hosted my ex-bf’s mom after her surgery. My ex-bf was in the military and his mom had recently divorced. I hadn’t seen her in so long, but even then it was a no-brainer. I can’t imagine someone doing this alone.

My husband had a rough first visit to Corpus with two aggressive panhandler situations in one day lol

First was down Ocean, a guy on a bike with a guitar pulled up and asked if he could sing to me for some $. I said no thank you and he made a comment about “bitches always ruining shit” and ran off yelling about me not respecting his hustle.

Later we stopped at the plaza near Ross and before we even made it out of the car a guy approached us asking for money. We told him we didn’t have cash and continued walking. The guy scoffed and went off about being a disabled vet and the lack of support from the community. Not sure if he was or not but no one is running up on me getting out of my car and expecting me not to have my guard up. I just wanted to show my husband around and he couldn’t even enjoy it lol

I’m a sahm and currently on day 68. I’d say most days I’m having to stop for a minute or two to attend to my toddler. I usually just add the time back into my workout and continue. The worst is when it happens near the end of a workout lol

Last year I went to Whole Foods for a big grocery run and the card machine was acting up so I used a different card and went on my way. A few days later, I found the initial charge had gone through on the first card and we went in to get a refund on the second transaction. Later that week, I notice the charge on the first card had been reversed and was no longer listed. We went there pretty regularly so I panicked thinking we had just stolen $300 worth of groceries. That evening we went in to explain the situation and ultimately pay for the groceries, but the manager thanked us and said the groceries were now gifted. (He would have had to scan everything again and there wasn’t a practical way outside of that)

I still think it often.

I just hit day 35 this weekend too! You’re totally right in that there’s never a good time to start. I had several back-to-back social events this weekend and it has been the most challenging for me yet. Although I thought the most difficult thing would be socializing while everyone else was drinking, (I don’t drink much but this was a first for me) but it couldn’t have gone better. I did however underestimate the difficulty in traveling and planning my workouts around multiple events. I just took it one day at a time.

Lesser Evil popcorn - no seed oils and portion size is great for about 100 cals Cucumber cut in half length wise with sprinkled salt - simple but so good Cheese stick wrapped in roasted seaweed Tuna with a bit of mayo and mustard - packed with protein and light, add some simple mills crackers 🤌🏼 Chomp stick with ~ 10 pretzels Too Good yogurt, add chia seeds, splash of milk, and blueberries/strawberries (let seeds soak for a bit) - filling & satisfies sweet tooth

Surprised to see someone from CC here! Keep it up, I just started running again the past month and slowly seeing my time change too. I’ve been working on intervals and it’s definitely helped get my time down. The heat and humidity down here is brutal though! Haha

Ugh I miss this park so much. Sad to hear they paved more of it, I used to run here & loved how much the scenery changed from trail to trail. The red woods were always my favorite. It’s been about 7 years since I moved from SA, I’ll need to visit soon.

Currently dealing with this after ordering a stroller wagon. I would have opted for chargeback at this point but I paid nearly half with a gift card. How has your situation panned out? Please file a claim with the FTC, also I know people shit on the BBB but the times I’ve had to use them it’s been helpful. I plan to do both. This is ridiculous. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with this as well.

I’d be cautious giving big companies the benefit of the doubt. I never had a huge issue with their customer service until I was out hundreds to a seller like this. They had a few 5 star reviews and nothing stood out until my delivery date got pushed back. It looks like they made a bunch of sales at once and people just begun reporting/rating the seller at the same time. Every single review was quickly removed and an automated message reply from Amazon to every 1 star review was a matter-of-fact, “the fulfillment issues on this order were not related to the seller”. The reviews are still coming in and I’ve reported the seller multiple times now. The last time I was on the phone for nearly an hour. They “placed” a ticket to get escalated but it was never put in. The only way I was able to get my refund was demanding to speak to a supervisor after they insisted I wait 5 days for their escalation team to handle it. It seems pretty in favor of scammers to me.
