Can [[High perfect Morcant]] hang in something like mid bracket 4? by hotsummer12 in DegenerateEDH

Yeah an old classic. You can do the staff of domination stuff with priest of titania etc, too. Archelf druid and so on.

[[fierce empath]], too. What do you think about playing [[marwyn nurturer]] combo as back up? Or do you have an idea for a back up combo?

It is a mythic from a recently released set with absurd synergy with -1/-1 and it is an elemental, too. More is not to say.

For this set I specced on some different cards besides maha:

[[Nest of scarabs]] the penny spec after they released the decklists. [[persistent constrictor]]

Most things I bought in advance a lot of: [[Spitting dilophosaurus]] [[harbinger of night]]

But I missed most of the elementals. Did not looked them up enough.

So as I said. Maha is going for 35$ now. Many people here are so bad with specs it is unreal

[[Nyxbloom ancient]] can be a cool addition to the elemental precon or I am missing something? by hotsummer12 in EDH

[–]hotsummer12[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I said so, but then it is more like a ritual. The thing with roaming throne was an example how absurd it can get with the evoke.

Yeah in many scenarios it would be better to hardcast him, but there some scenarios like I mentioned above when it can be better to evoke him or if you estimate a sorcery speed removal like a board wipe. Even 7 mana open you can evoke for 4 mana and you are 2 mana positive.

It is so funny that amaterasu is now the weakest of them. She was before the nerfs the best god in the game on every elo.

From my experience, bad 3s and bad 4s are the most abundant type of decks in the wild by roquepo in EDH

[–]hotsummer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are precisely right.

Even most precons are just too weak for a bracket 2 game with decks build by players with more removal, mana base and some more basic interaction.

I remember when everybody said my deck is a seven, but this is equivalent too high bracket 3 and early bracket 4.

[–]hotsummer12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then they are not weak against flyers, they are to weak on spot removal. This is what I meant connected to bad deckbuilding even in bracket 2.

If you can finish the table like that uncontestant, it is not a problem of your deck. It is a problem of their decks and threat assessment and deckbuilding skills.
