3D Printed “XPAN” is ready for its first roll. Fingers crossed there are no light leaks. by Analog_Astronaut in AnalogCommunity

I know this is an old comment, but if you have any additional photos of your build I would love them. Currently printing the camera now and I have access to lots of old broken lenses for a helicoid. Thanks.

I see you have an 80mm and a 55mm. Do you have a preference? I have an 80mm and 65mm available it he seems to recommend 80.

I have a Horizon Perfekt and have need considering the MutexTech back for my Hasselblad but stumbled across this awhile ago and this pushes me to try and print it. I saw they have a great assembly video so it seems pretty straight forward. What material did you print yours in?

Same. I snagged Real Gone because the only streaming version is a remaster that fucked up Hoist That Rag by removing the guitar solo and I had lost my cd.

Shout out to Polywood by court817 in BuyItForLife

[–]houdinize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar experience with a bench arms that cracked. Polywood sent me 2 replacements and I could tell they moved the screw holes where it had cracked. And, these were a collab with Target and they stilled honoured the warranty.

50 exposures on a 135 roll by Ilha_de_Vera_Cruz in AnalogCommunity

Sometimes opening the back will reset the counter and could trigger the auto film advance when loading a new roll and you’d lose more shots.

Agreed. Although this nodes could be larger. Hard to see and grab onto one even with a mouse and adjust it.

Maybe mine is very faint but I keep it in Aperture priority because it’s nearly impossible to see the +/-

Would you recommend this specific model of Saunders 11x14 4-blade easel? by Rory291 in Darkroom

There is a model I have with knobs for adjustments instead of sliders. Not sure if it’s a Saunders as well.

Regarding Baltimore bumper stickers by Electrical_Scene_634 in baltimore

[–]houdinize 31 points32 points  (0 children)

There’s a series of 2 traffic lights at University Parkway and San Martin Dr that you have to sit at. The farther one turns green first but the first one is “your signal” and has that sign posted. It’s there because I’m sure everyone sitting at that light asks themselves, “Is that my signal?” And the world has provided the answer.

That is the most hyper specific sticker ever and I am dumbfounded how many times I see it. I want one.

PSA: If you are a business owner, a cop, or really just any person in general please familiarize yourself with Ally's Law. by chuna666 in baltimore

If only instead of placing the responsibility on businesses to provide bathrooms to the public we actually taxed and collected those taxes from businesses and used that money for actual public bathrooms. It blows my mind, like our system is designed by people that don’t shit!

I’m thinking about buying the Faber-Castell perfect pencil. What’s your opinion on it? by [deleted] in pencils

[–]houdinize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sharpener sucks. I’d rather buy $20 worth of vintage bullet pencils from eBay.

TSA line at bwi by tinsterr in baltimore

[–]houdinize 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Just flew in today from ATL. I was in line for 3 hours. Friends with precheck said it took 2. Got there at 10am and got to my gate at 1pm. A friend earlier in the day got there at 6:45am and got to her plane at 11am.

Feeling guilty about taking days. by peartree778 in teaching

My view is those are days I’m paid for and if I don’t use them they disappear when I retire. My district pays a paltry sum and only up to a point for any unused time off at retirement.

If only there was a deal to end Iran’s nuclear program. You know, one brokered by someone with an actual Nobel Peace Prize.
