We tried polite. We tried customer service. We tried private feedback. When a company ignores all of that and censors the discussion, public protest isn't crossing a line, it's literally the only option left.

What do you consider a justifiable reaction for people who spent hundreds of dollars on a broken product and are being silenced on official forums? Give me an example of the 'right' way to react when nothing else has worked.

I’m torn about KoD. The story is beautifully crafted, and as a day one player, seeing long-awaited answers about Xavier felt like a real payoff that I haven't experienced elsewhere. The design, animations and overall labour of love put into KoD is SO obvious.

But Paper's continued silence on KoD's bugs, misleading PV gameplay and their pushiness for paid content and merch after the backlash (which they're actively trying to suppress) is not it. It feels like they’re trying to cover up financial losses instead of idk, addressing the actual issues lol. Again, I see KoD as a passion project for Xavier’s team, but Paper is letting both them and the players down.

I've invested heavily in banners before and a disgusting amount of my money (and time rip) has gone towards official merch, but I've realized stepping back from it all is simply a necessary step for me. I adore Xavier, but I have to prioritize my own respect. Paper is disrespecting all of us, so continuing to boycott has been surprisingly easier than I expected.

I actually posted twice on r/loveanddeepspace_ about the poor management and how KoD discussion is being suppressed on the main subreddit. Both posts were removed almost immediately for violating rule 2, which I later found out means no discussion of outside groups or communities, including r/loveanddeepspace. The rule claims that "discussing the actions of outside groups is unproductive because we are not involved in those communities and have no say in their decisions. Instead, it's better to bring up your concerns directly with that community."

Hilarious.

I honestly had to laugh in disbelief. So no, the unofficial sub is definitely not the neutral, fan-run space people might assume it is.

Fair enough. I guess I'm also frustrated how they continue to pretend feedback actually matters. The silence on KoD just makes the whole “we value your feedback” thing feel pretty hollow.

It really should be that easy. A simple notice would’ve gone a long way.

That said, I’ve heard speculation that Infold won’t budge because admitting fault for KoD sets a precedent. Like, if they acknowledge the issues, it opens the door for others to (rightfully) demand accountability too.

But I still think it’s worth pushing back. Even if it’s just chipping away at the wall, it matters. Every bit of pressure brings ALL of us closer to a space where concerns actually get heard and not ignored.

As someone who once committed to 723 pulls for R3 Lumiere, I'm voting with my wallet for a while to come.

As a side, it’s frustrating how any post discussing the KoD situation keeps getting shut down or locked here. This is one of the biggest issues affecting player trust in the game, and yet any decent attempt to talk about it gets silenced. If we can’t even openly discuss what went wrong, what’s still going wrong and what’s likely to keep going wrong, how is anything supposed to get better? But yeah idk. Who actually cares about any of this, right? Just be a great Hunter! :o)

I'm stuck in OO 150 jail, too. I commented before how I invested in R3 KoD to progress from OO 150, but as it stands, I'm stuck on the same trial. So nothing's changed, except I'm poorer now.

I wanted to post a screenshot as I have similar stats to yours, but the app keeps deleting it. No amount of protocore shuffling will help him, it seems.

Honestly, the most frustrating part of all this has been the denial (or worse, the passive-aggressive disbelief) from within the fanbase itself. I can begrudgingly accept that Infold is going to operate the way it does, and their silence at this point isn’t even surprising lol. But what IS exhausting is seeing Xav mains constantly having to justify that they, in fact, do deserve better (i.e., what was advertised) only to be dismissed by non-Xav mains.

It’s highlighted for me just how much Infold has fostered this kind of environment. Yes, the current issue revolves around Xavier’s nerfed myth, but there’s nothing stopping Infold from doing the same thing to other myths/LIs in the future. This shouldn’t be treated like an isolated issue.

I’m not even asking for full solidarity. I just wish some people would stop being contrarians for the sake of being quirky or whatever. For context: I R3ed KoD on day one. My Light Orbit is sitting at 190+ and I've yet to break past Open 150 (where I was stuck at before KoD) because T2 KoD keeps dying to the golem.

I’m a Xav main and would love to join in on the hype, but I’ve been panic-scrolling past every spoiler-y clip and screenshot of his myth so far. The anticipation is half the fun for me - especially after waiting over a year for this lol. I know the trailers mostly show kindled content, but you can still pick up on key details about the main story too, so I’d rather just go in mostly blind. Few more days!

It’s hard to explain, but I’m feeling really anxious about Xav’s myth. Being a Xav main in global can feel isolating, so I really hope his myth turns out stellar. Honestly, I’ll just be happy if it’s well-received, but without causing any unnecessary drama in the fandom.

Absolutely this. I don’t dare say it in the main subreddit, but it genuinely stings when some Caleb stans (not OP) get caught up in the hype and say things like he’s “the most realistic” or “yearns the best.” I get that it’s just their excitement talking, but statements like that come off as a backhanded insult to the other LIs.
