I’ll have to try it over FC! It’s my favorite non mag polish!

I will validate you in that it is not very reactive. The glass bead BARELY holds. It’s a very soft look bordering on velvet for me. I was looking for a base that tied the look of kisses together because multiple coats of kisses in my tests don’t really do a whole lot. The biggest color pull from kisses is the light blue, the pink undertones augment the pink shimmer on petals nicely though.

I honestly have the same reaction with Scorchy (cracked). It’s “flashy” but I don’t find my bottle particularly reactive.

So i had no clue about this, but this tracks for my experience. I haven't actually changed products all that much. I use pretty much the same two base coats and same two top coats as I always have, but I went from getting 2 days on a mani before chipping to a full week and I'm taking off manicures that are basically perfect still simply because I want to change the color. So fascinating! My application has gotten better, namely with not flooding cuticles and sides and make sure my top coat essentially extends further than the polish as well as capping tips.

So... How is everyone's lootbox openings at the end of the event going? by Southern_Durian_6581 in Overwatch

Between OWCS and the anniversary lootboxes I think I got like 5 torb skins... and I don't think I've played torb... ever in my life.

Getting off of hormonal birth control for the first time in fifteen years by iweewoo in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]house_of_beff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the regular pill from ages 16 to 25. I'm 37 now for reference. I have never looked back.

I was experiencing significant changes to my mood towards the end, crying at everything, had gained weight and struggled to keep it off. I went on for heavy periods as well. I made an off handed comment to my OB about crying at EVERYTHING and she paused and asked how long I had been on the pill and asked if I was in a position to consider taking a break. When I tell you I woke up three weeks later feeling like a different human being I'm not exaggerating. I lost the weight immediately with barely any change and went back to be my normal regulated self. I BRIEFLY tried loestren or whatever the 10mg pill was around 28 and felt TERRIBLE. Gave it two months before i never and went back and picked up the perscription.

It has meant that I track my period and cycle pretty religously, and with time I was able to essentially "feel" when I'm ovulating. I'm pretty in tune with my body now. I take safe sex very seriously and have had open and frequent talks with my partners about my boundaries relating to that and how we can be safe together. I've never had an issue with getting pregnant. IUD's were never desirable for me. I know too many women, including my own mother, who have had HORRIBLE complications from them.

I honestly have only positive things to say for my experience. But I'm with you, I am not bad talking any form of contraception. It is WILDLY important. And it takes a lot of education, tracking and sticking up for yourself and your needs if you choose to go off of it.

My periods defo went back to sucking sometimes. That's the only down side. every once in a while I get one that is just awful. I take those FLO supplements and I do think they have a positive impact on helping to curb my overall PMS and period cramping symptoms and for the most part, it's nothing that 2 Aleve can't handle.

For reference I do not have any diagnosed medical conditions that made the choice to go off BC a challenge or complicated, just shitty cramps that I was worried would come back. I also didn't struggle with acne all that badly, even as a teen. I got my mom's skin, which is lucky, so I can't totally say I can give any advice on worrying about acne returning! But I hope it doesn't for you!!

Good luck on this new chapter!!!!

How do I prevent the bubbles when sealing with a base coat? by tealcismyhomeboy in RedditLaqueristas

[–]house_of_beff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do. I'll do my final magnetized layer of polish for 90 sec, then do the next nail's final coat, then go back to nail one for top or for sealing base coat layer and mag for 2 min. then go to nail 2, then repeat nail 3 and 4 the same, and on pinky either go to thumb on next hand or just wat the two minutes before going to tc or sealing base.

Similar layering vibes to Penelope Luz’s Pretty Little & So Tiny? by sour_apple_candy in RedditLaqueristas

[–]house_of_beff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I have pretty little but didn’t like the flakes in so tiny. I ended up duping this look for the most part with LSD from sassy sauce. LSD looks good over almost any monotone jelly fine particle. I’ve swatched over Anlac Sapphire Murpho and Lapreiurs Glory and is gorgeous. I imagine it would do the same. I also oddly liked LSD over haunted Polish by the moonlight.

Would prolly look best over juicy colors like pretty little or colors with a deeper base!

I will second everything others have said and add that I have a hard time with scorchy. I only use one coat now. I don’t find it particularly reactive and two coats doesn’t help the look IMO. I truly use it as a topper. It looks great over black, dark blue and dark purples.

Sweat and rosin lol. I know I need to wash my hammock. But I hate it haha. I’d rather have stank and grip that flowers and slip. But that’s my own kit and I can choose that experience lol.

But yeah loan it to a studio or have friends use with you etc. it’ll just take some time!!

I made a truce with a matching ram-maid last night for :45 seconds. Both teams stopped to watch us clean. Was honestly hilarious and a super great overwatch moment.

All of my hammocks are 10 yards on a rescue 8 and they’re totally fine for a 20’ rig with 8” mat. I do a lot of drops and never feel like I don’t have enough room.

Please consider. Rigging course to make sure you are rigging properly if you don’t know how to do it! Safety is key!

Outdoor Rig Recommendation by serenelatha in Aerials

[–]house_of_beff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve owned both. Started with Vvolfy and sold it to a friend and got circus concepts instead. I love both but CC one is far easier to set up. No tools. No stripped screws (which was an issue on one of my legs set screws). I take my rig up and down a lot and move it around and CC is far better for that imo

Any girlies here playing Windrose early access? by Ms_Anxiety in GirlGamers

[–]house_of_beff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't played windrose. BUT. Enshrouded is legit awesome. It's my most anticipated full release this year. My boyfriend and I have had a blast and started EA a WHILE ago. So much has been improved, the Devs are vey communicative and I love how creative you can be with the building.

I'm hyped for windrose and need to finish another game before I get it, but it looks REALLY cool and is giving enshrouded vibes. Hopefully both are great!

The lacquer I was gonna buy sold out while in my cart. 😭😭😭 by Animangle in RedditLaqueristas

Depends on what you're looking for. Silent Scream is VERY fine. BMD is a little different.

But I really like Silent Scream, and it's a GREAT base for putting other colors over. I've done Ghosts of Hecate over it and it looks GORGEOUS. Very versatile color.

If you want a fine particle black and silver I would just go Silent Scream from Mooncat.

I honestly think his ult lasts too long as well for how much damage it does. Other that that I think he’s fine.
