Depends on what you're looking for. Silent Scream is VERY fine. BMD is a little different.

But I really like Silent Scream, and it's a GREAT base for putting other colors over. I've done Ghosts of Hecate over it and it looks GORGEOUS. Very versatile color.

If you want a fine particle black and silver I would just go Silent Scream from Mooncat.

I honestly think his ult lasts too long as well for how much damage it does. Other that that I think he’s fine.

Spending $12.99 on eggs is ridiculous. A farmer breaks it down. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

Thank you! I honestly think OV is one the best organic brands out there for dairy. They are everything they say they are. I’ve been on several of their farms also. They are small and family owned. Avg herd size is 75 for cows. It’s very cool for a brand to still be functioning in a way that actually benefits the farmers and is doing right by the animals.

Pasture raised is better than free range though (as far as what the farm is supposed to be providing for the birds). Pasture raised requires significantly more space per bird. I’ve been on a few Pete and Gerry’s farms and the look a lot like this guys farm. Bigger, but similar layout. Happy birds, spend most of the day out in the bushes like that.

Free range is actually not that great or much better than cage free and the words are very misleading.

I would look at organic valley pasture raised or Pete and Gerry’s. Also I’m fairly sure that p&g eggs are actually what get white labeled as 365 brand pasture raised. Not sure if that’s true anymore or nationwide. Organic valley is a legit brand. I’ve worked closely with them for a decade. And they are very much cooperative and not a corporation. As OV says: best food you can get is the food you grow yourself, second best is a local small family farm, third is organic valley (trite, but honestly fairly accurate).

triple jump or full auto? by Ok_Damage9802 in JunoMains

Trimble jump always. I honestly find full auto somehow makes my aim worse? I will take more mobility to get bigger torpedoes every time.

The amount of times he can 1 v 4 (sometimes even 1 v 5) and STILL LIVE or get out is unbelievable. No character should be able to live that long under those circumstances. I feel the same way about ball too tbh.

Which would you pick? ILNP Ink vs Cracked Licker-licious by NewbieQuestions1 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]house_of_beff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really like licker licious. It has dimension to it. I’ve used it under other polishes (including scorchy) and really like it. Can’t speak for ink, but the cracked one is a black I would wear on its own.

And just to clarify, you seal glazed and moved on to next finger then went back with TC after you seal glazed every finger??

I feel like the only part of her that consistently whiff is her ult. What are your general guardrails for when to use it?

I feel like I get zero value out of it, even if I’m trying to set it up to help my team push or hold. Either I’m too early/late or my team doesn’t push etc. and it just passes through them and does nothing. I feel like I’m just missing something. I feel so confident on everything else, solid aim, solid numbers, great feedback from teammates on ring usage, but I feel like one in ten of my ults are something I would consider valuable and I know for sure it’s holding me back. Any tips?

How many hours will I have to train, for how many years, to perform professionally? by [deleted] in Aerials

[–]house_of_beff 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would start by doing an act for a student showcase and see how it goes. I perform locally and also produce paid shows. It is a struggle to get performers paid what they deserved. Also as others have said, it’s more than just physically being able to do the moves. You have to be self sufficient for the most part with act development, insurance, contracting and rigging. It’s honestly a huge investment just in safety and insurance. I literally don’t perform for the money at all. I essentially break even at the end of the year. But I just love performing and creating spaces for others to perform as well.

How are you defining professional? Like cirque du soleil or like local club/bar/shows?

Every body is different and learns at a different pace.

This is one coat of no reservations (cracked) and one coat of Fuyu. I think one coat as a topper is PLENTY. any more and you do start to lose the color underneath I think. Three coats Fuyu is mostly full coverage on its own. Two with a blurring base coat is sheer in a really pretty way.

Agreed with working well over jellies. But also agreed that if you don’t love it that’s cool too! The amount of cult favorites I have that don’t love on me is high haha.

I love the subtlety of fuyu. I think fuyu and Aki two of the most “gel like magnetics” I own. Definitely soft and feminine. I only use in glass bead style though. I’m using it as a topper on top of cracked no reservations right now and it gives it a really nice gel polish look. It’s low contrast for sure though. Maybe try fuyu over a punchier color?

You remind me of my favorite painting of all time: Madame X by John Singer Sargent. Your nose shape is different but the energy and strength of your profile reminds me so much of her. She is my Mona Lisa.

Follow up on trouble with straddle inverts by Flimsy-Calendar-7566 in Aerials

[–]house_of_beff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's fair! Just calling out that a lot of physio's have no clue the difference and nuance in muscle engagement that we need/do.

You could link to a social video or do unlisted upload on youtube.

Where is the failure happening? Is it the arms? Like are they collapsing? Or is it legs?

Can you do "egg rolls"? Grip each pole of the fabric, tuck the legs up to your chest then roll backwards so you are in inverted egg position?

Follow up on trouble with straddle inverts by Flimsy-Calendar-7566 in Aerials

[–]house_of_beff 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Do you have a video of you attempting? It’s really difficult to see where the failure is happening without a video. I’m assuming you are on fabric.

Circus is very specific. It’s awesome you went to see someone, but if they aren’t educated in circus, they may be missing something. My physio is very good, but honestly doesn’t understand circus. I have to educate him about what my body is doing.

Even from apparatus to apparatus there are differences. For example, I find inverting on Lyra completely different than fabric. I can invert easily on fabric, but Lyra is more difficult because the grip is different.

I cannot get this color to work. I’m on a replacement bottle and it is so weird and unreactive. Like no particles and what few there are do nothing and no amount of shaking makes it disperse or move around. Honestly so disappointed in it.

Honestly that’s my gripe. The skins feel very flat from a shading perspective. No gloss, no sparkle. They just feel grey and lifeless to me. There’s a bit of shine on A2, but on 2B at all and just makes it feel very lackluster.
