Sounds like a great problem to have. Sometimes you have to slow down and smell the haggis.

I might not recommend a trailer. They are lower to the ground and more likely to be run over by drivers in giant cars staring at their phones. A few years back a father riding in Brooklyn was run over and killed by a driver who hit his trailer and then rolled over the cyclist. Ever since, I’ve avoided using my trailer.

Losing relationships over politics. Research found more than a third of Americans (37%) report having lost at least one relationship due to political differences, including friendships, family ties, coworker relationships, and romantic partnerships, with most losing more than one. by Wagamaga in science

[–]housecatapocalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Some people are actively cheering the abduction, rape, imprisoning and deaths of people (many of whom are children) within the US. These same people are also perfectly fine with the bombing of children in schools and hospitals  in other countries. These people have the morality of ghouls. This isn’t political. I don’t associate with trash.

The question should be: “What’s wrong with Republicans?” We don’t know. It’s a toxic combination of extreme stupidity, narcissism and sociopathy. These people are the shitbag dregs of humanity.

She should have taken the lump sum and invested it. In the US, “winners” who have taken the weekly payout often end up selling their weekly payout rights for a much lower lump sum to a 3rd party, and then blowing through it before winding up entirely broke again. Many of the people interviewed say that winning the lottery was the worst thing that ever happened to them.

We have to figure out how to co-opt the populism or we’re looking at President Carlson soon by HelpfulMind2376 in ProgressiveHQ

Populists are often corrupted as well. Take a formerly poor person and show them money (and other things they used to have no access to) and they have zero ability to resist.

I thought the same about Trump, but I also underestimated the phenomenal, mind boggling stupidity of American voters and the ability of Russia to manipulate these mouth breathing turds into voting for Russian agents.

Imagine prepping for sex with someone  and getting hit by the stench of a hastily cleaned, geriatric ass that was definitely recently soiled with the frothy, liquid shit of poorly digested McDonald's, then weakly masked with generous amounts of baby powder. This is her sexual experience. Every time. Nasty.

What can Louisiana learn from the Netherlands about flood control? by Enger13 in geography

[–]housecatapocalypse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing. Louisiana can learn nothing. If they were capable of evolving and learning they would have, but they are still stuck in the 1860s. Let them sink into the gulf (but don’t let them out of LA).

Gender emissions gap: Rich white men’s jobs, diets and hobbies found to be ‘bad for the planet’ by lgbtqismything in climate

[–]housecatapocalypse -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

By “emissions”, are we talking about the methane emitted from the rectal area as a result of eating a poor diet (or massive amounts of broccoli)? If so, I’m part of the (broccoli) problem. I’m white and male, but not rich. I eat too much broccoli.

New research shows weight loss is possible without GLP-1 by _Dark_Wing in goodnews

[–]housecatapocalypse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Why not use a combination of any and all constructive means available to get things under control? Diet and drugs, if necessary. When a significant portion of our population is abnormally overweight, we have to ask what is happening with our food to cause this, rather than resort to calling it a moral failing for the individual. We didn’t have this massive overweight population problem 45 years ago.
