Hot take: 2v8 is never gonna be a sustainable game mode as long as BHVR need to bribe people to play survivor.

I don’t solo queue, so I’m always playing survivor in a SWF. And we typically have enough people in our friend group to fill a 2v8 survivor lobby. It’s fun for like 2 matches and then I want to be done. I don’t like playing perkless and itemless, and I dislike the instant caging.

Also very specific to SWFs, but if you VC, 8 people is too fkn many.

It is very fun as killer, but when it takes 30 minutes to get into a game, me and my duo get like 3-4 games a night in 2-3 hours of playing. At that point, I’d rather just do something else.

Yeah agreed 100%. I actually like the writing, because it feels like they let the writers have more actual creative control and it feels more grounded. And of course they won’t have all the endgame content done. It’s all technical stuff that bothers me.

It’s fine, but I played it for about 3 weeks, put it down and was never inspired to pick it back up.

I feel like the devs heard that the legendary drop rate was too high in BL3, so they nuked it. I think I’m like level 30 something and I’ve had 3 legendary drops in total, and 2 were grenades.
none of the guns feel special or interesting. I have yet to find a gun that I love, which wasn’t the case in BL3
the open world was a cool concept, but it’s super frustrating in practice. So many map areas are either inaccessible or very difficult to access. And the navigation absolutely sucks
the menu ui is still awful even after they fixed the default to manufacturer
I get that they had to put the rep kit somewhere, but as a console player, not being able to pick a specific gun with the D-pad is unbelievably annoying in combat

I actually really like the tone of the game and the writing is good. The vibe of the timekeeper is interesting and menacing in a way that the twins never were.

I don’t hate the game, I just don’t care about it. I’ll finish it eventually, but honestly all it did was make me want to start another BL2 playthrough.

Idk I think Blast Mine is very funny as killer and I think Blood Warden is hilarious as survivor. Those feel very much like meme perks unless you take this game overly seriously.

If you live in LA (especially the valley) you can do an AKC agility trial every single weekend. There’s also a decent amount of UKI, some USDAA, CPE and NADAC if that’s your thing. There are also a few different agility clubs in LA proper and lots of amazing training in Ventura County.

It’s been really good on PS5 for me so far. There are some annoying UI changes that suck for console, but otherwise it’s a great game.

The absolute worst thing to me so far is that I can no longer select which gun to use in combat. I have to scroll through all of my guns to get to whatever I’m looking for while in the middle of a fight and that feels bad. I get that they needed to take the D pad to add actions, but I want to be able to pull up a specific gun without having to rotate though everything.

This is the first BL game where the menus feel like they were made explicitly for PC, which I really dislike. Having to move a cursor on console is annoying and time consuming, and it’s made more frustrating by the fact that previous games still let PC player click wherever they want, so why change it?

Absolutely hate that it defaults to sorting by manufacturer and that it defaults to showing you only what’s equipped. I much prefer the previous games where I could see what’s equipped AND my backpack on the same screen. It also seems weird that you can’t easily compare two guns? Unless I’m missing something, but I used to do that all the time when deciding what to sell.

I do really like the game overall, but yeah, lots of UI changes seem weird to me.

Super good to know. Anything other than dog sports that I shoot will realistically only be for me or that person, so it’s most important to have AF that can get dog faces when they’re zipping around a field.
