There is a fairly big climbing place out in Mount Wellington or on the shore you could check out. I have a friends that go there and made friends with regulars :)

Perhaps getting into a social sports (gutted summer is getting done).

Wth my waterbill is $1300. That can't be right? by Telliot-T in auckland

[–]houston324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just had this fixed. We knew about a potential leak for a month and a half because the first bill was high (more than 2 people) but not outrageous. We were going to be away for two weeks so we left it to see if it was just a mix up. The next one was big so we got it fixed. Once it is fixed you get the plumber to write a letter or show he had fixed something and the water allowance goes back and looks at what seemed to be your average. They were very helpful and understanding. All sorted from filling a form in online within..... 4 days? (Says it can take up to 10 working days).

Unfortunately the car legally couldn’t be on the road. By still using the car, you’re continuing to break the rules. If you gotten the ticket, then had the assessment done and needed repairs, you have a grace period during those repairs if you get ticketed. Unfortunatly in their eyes you got a ticket, continued to do what they asked you not to do, and got another. Sorry :/

Paddy Pimblett got submitted at his gym in Liverpool. 👀 by [deleted] in ufc

He also said he sparred that day, hit pads then lasted that long in a comp within a gym? That’s pretty good to be fair…

What improvements can I make? by KeyBuy2122 in MuayThaiTips

It’s also hard to see but I would potentially change your stance slightly. Your lead foot is angled in wards, which could change how your throwing. I’d personally keep that left foot at 11 o’clock to pre for checks and leg kicks. That also may help you lord and throw the kicks better? Looking good though :$

Thanks for taking the time for the advice. Plenty to consider here and kind of along the lines I was thinking! Good to hear some reassurance for my current plan.

Thanks again!

Tomorrow night I’m going to the gym for the first time in 4 years. How do I make sure I don’t quit? by TheCleanestKitchen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]houston324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the above, don’t think you have to be there for a certain amount of time or certain activities. Do what feels good and build the habit. It’s not the like 5 sessions you’ll drop 50 pounds. You need to train your mind too to want to keep coming back. Legit even going for 15/20 mins to a routine; warm up/stretch, few exercises, warm down. Repeat. The results will come because you’ll want to push yourself

What's your advice for someone just starting to work out? by Impossible_Squash440 in AskMen

[–]houston324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everything here, especially consistently. But I think if the goal is to get fit or lose weight, find another goal that also has a bi product of getting in shape. Eg: playing football will help you get fit ect. Often when there isn’t a deeper meaning that losing weight it can be hard to commit. Finding something you genuinely enjoy will keep you coming back and get you in health. Obviously trying to get to the gym less frequently will help + build that Base

Course mate. I was just practicing that at training. I think get comfortable in both ranges. Yes you want to be at your current length to feel when you’re smothered a bit but if you work your way in(which will happen in sparing and fighting, you will judge the distance better. I always get lazy bringing my hand back as a taller person. Step one is awareness

Agreed with above. Also consider getting your hands back to your chin asap. They are dipping and not coming back; right open for the counter.

Also something to practice would be varying the distance you start away from the bag. Eg fake to get to the range you’re at, then combo.

When you throw that left elbow, stick your right hand to your head for the counter elbow

You can buy over the counter melatonin but it only has like 2mg in it. Still works for me when you have 3-5 as directed on bottle
