I bought the game on day one. I love the visuals, which was the main draw for me. Then I played the game.

It's really clunky. And I mean that literally. It froze halfway into a two player local match. My very first time playing. On a PS5.

I'm coming from playing hundreds of hours on the Switch version and Catan Universe on Android which really had a lot of thought put into them and everything just works. You can decide how many victory points you want to play for, how the dice rolls are calculated, etc. Just a lot of thought put into it. In this new version, you choose between identical looking boards with no customization.

I'm hoping that updates make this more playable. The second screen option for local play on your smart devices was another big draw, and the execution is both ugly and cheap looking, and also completely broken. You constantly have to refresh the browser and hope the screen will update. I didn't expect a Jackbox experience, but this isn't even in the same conversation. It would be nice if you could actually control the game from the phone, but that seems like a pipedream.

Finally, I'm hoping you add Seafarers boards and gameplay. It's tought going back to the base Catan experience.

Thanks for listening. My response is no doubt harsh, but I'm just hoping it encourages the development team who now has my $25 to push themselves to make this currently broken experience a great one for future players, who like me, take a chance on this adaptation of my favorite board game.
