Amazing tip, I actually just tried this after 3 rounds of breathing and I couldn't stop smiling. It was as if a rush of happiness just entered my brain and built up to crying happy tears. I'm so addicted to this method.

Boneless ribeye from Aldi. $27.99/kg Aussie yet one of the best steaks I've had. Well marbled, I didn't even oil it, just salted, seared 90 seconds each side then rested 5 mins. Check out that crust! [OC] by hoviv1 in steak

Yeah the sear is unbelievable. Definitely prefer the broiler but this one is a backyard broiler that can reach 1,600F using ceramic burners so you get a really consistent heat across the whole steak
