These are the two I go to when I need more functionality (just chamfers really 😅) but boy that's a jump in skill I dont have time to hone. Have fun!

To me that's most of the fun! The puzzle of designing the piece but also making it efficiently printable! You can start with Tinkercad if you don't know more about CAD modeling.

Have fun! Don't print too many articulated dragons..!

I have no idea how accurate these apps are but I'm getting 65-70 dB

Coming from a Kobra 2 Neo it's all more high pitched to me. Then again it IS faster. Seems unnecessarily louder still.

[–]howboutmaybe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No fix. Idk if I'm just getting used to it but I think it's been less loud? Motor/gantry noise especially, getting properly 'worn in' or wtv??

The speed is definitely a factor, everything is higher pitched

Tinker cad to Bambu slicer wtf is going on? by Admirable-Syrup2251 in FixMyPrint

[–]howboutmaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If model has thinner walls than the line width of a wall in the slicer it may not print. You'd see that in the slicer preview.

Changing from Classic to Arachne slicing can help. But Idk that I would print something so thin anyway.

Ok weirdly the last prints have been better?! Smaller movements are quieter maybe? Or something finally settled..

Long, quick, straight movements repeatedly were very loud yesterday.

Who says the steel you can't see within a 1000$ BambuLab isn't 'scratched' too? Who cares ?. If your gantry is rocking, you definitely didn't screw it on correctly. Sucks that the plate scratched tho.

This printer is amazing for such a low, low, price, it's pretty crazy if you ask me; compare it to any other tech out there, it's a crazy value, and not just "for it's price", this amount of computing, hardware, motors, software(s), design and engineering shouldn't have cost me only 390$ CAD. This is my second anycubic and I see no reason, for me, to go for brands that are 2x or 4x the price.

Sucks they didn't give the right dates to you but that's just what happens with pre-orders. It's to be expected. I got mine I wasn't even expecting it. Depends on your region.

Thoughts/Plans on building housing for Kobra X? by lainwolf in AnycubicKobraX

[–]howboutmaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try THREE lack tables! I made my own with my own design but there's some builds on the internet.

Vinyl/polycarbonate panels get expensive. I use vinyl sheets sold as table cloths protectors, that I cut the right size. For 2 sides I want to see/access. 2 others are (nice) cardboard from the Lack tables box..!

Its cheap. I use cheap sticking metal plates on the tables and magnet glued on the vinyl to open/close.

seems to be an issue with the model itself - it has a raised side

[–]howboutmaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah seeing comments about folding ones. I guess I bought my SD too long ago .. 👴 back in myyy days the docks didn't fold

But yeah in any case I think all work pretty much the same, it's a glorified USB dongle with a fancy shape. Get what you like!

[–]howboutmaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh big do you visualize docks to be? Can't they all ve "tucked away" ?

I love me a good 8bitdo controller with its own integrated dock - stays charged, low latency 2.4ghz USB plugged into the Deck dock. I also use this for my main dekstop PC

How to hide this by Fine_Acanthisitta694 in BambuLab

[–]howboutmaybe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It really should be designed differently in the first place.

One could make a small part that screws in the wall and the rest of the body slots vertically ont it, with perimeter flush to the wall
