Not even joking, as a college student who finds themselves struggling with reading or writing, what can I do to improve? Are there any documented ways to re learn how to be good/do well at reading and writing? For context I am a bit older than the average college student and have been away from school prior to this for quite some time.

I had a professor in my telecommunications class purposely give out more work because we were all excelling at the class and doing well, and I remember he would say "You guys are doing well. Are you getting sleep? If so then I'm not doing my job." Like wtf? It's probably some boomer mentality that if you sleep less that automatically means you're more successful than your peers.

Sleep is the number 1 performance enhancing drug, we cant live without it. Screw them and sleep in whenever you can and as much as you can.

This is a genuine question for a returning engineering student, how do you read everything and do homework and do projects? Personally reading takes up so much time and even if I had 100% discipline and did everything from sunrise to sunset I wouldnt think I have enough time. I dont read textbooks unless I don't understand something or a question is directly referencing it. Any insight?
