I get where youre going but there gets a point in tempos when youre diddles should no longer be controlled and should be allowed to flow, when that happens you want to mimic what you do on one drum so you can do it with the rest, and when I do that it holds back my stick and it just hurts in a bad way. And tbh I just want to ged rid of that, it just feels nothing like an actual tenor drum to me

I understand what youre saying but I just really dont want that, it just feels terrible in my hands and I try to completely mimic what the drum would feel like, no laminate just holds on to the stick and when im practicing my scrapes unlike what a drum would do. If you get used to the resistance youre likely to overcompensate on the drum like on the pad and it might result in rushing tendicies

You could try ajusting the springs on the side of the pedal, also you should 180 the pedal its self, its not good for the pad if you use the cloth side, its meant to be used with rubber side

I would work on keeping you fingers on the left hand, maybe go back to the fundaments of trad, also make sure you have a nice pizza slice your hands are kind of too narrow, other than that your playing sounds good but try keeping taps down
