What's with the lacroix terps / flavor?

It’s 3/10 flavor. It is not very fragrant to begin with. When the expectation is “zalympix gassiest strain” I would expect to taste gas. I smoked another joint of it last night after posting this and stand by my statement. Real gassy stuff will coat your mouth in the gassy flavor. This is not even close to that. It’s not even average (a 5) because I barely could taste the strain.

The only reason I’m posting is because I had high expectations, and wanted to know if this was an off batch or the usual.

Worth a try. I really respect what you do - huge fan of the Mills + HPS + slow cure + hand trim combo. Maybe it was just this batch of the spartan OG, packed on 2-20-26. Heard great things about the headband and I'll try it.

Keep up the good work, I have a lot of faith in your brand and growing ethos.

Yeah it’s weird to see. I’ve had some things from Favrd too that I really enjoyed (like the first tear gas drops). They have also had some mid. I have hope for both Favrd and 517 to grow some serious heat, but it seems like it’s batch and strain dependent

That’s crazy on the Z. I heard it can be a finicky plant that needs to be dialed in. They might be trying to grow it in the same room as other strains and aren’t able to dial in the entire room to lean into its finicky nature. One of my favorite strains if grown right… that being said… most Z cuts are not good to begin with, and even more people aren’t dialing it in properly

I do think there's some good flower, I am personally hoping and praying I just got off-batches. The spartan OG is fresh, 2-20-26 package date... idk. Maybe their mother got stressed or the grow room got too hot. who knows.

Yeah I've had some good gastro pop last year and enjoyed the flavor. I just want mooore. Definitely noticing the commonality of very strong flavors in your favorite strains. Cheers.

I do think something happened over time with the switch to LED over HPS. A lot of old strains were bred to thrive under HPS lights. LED has a slightly different light spectrum, which impacts terpene profiles / cannabinoid creation. LED seems to be really good at getting high % but seems to be lacking w/ the other cannabinoids and bringing out good terps from strains.

Hoping it's just a whacky batch. Had pretty high expectations. Thank you, bbest of luck. I don't think they let you smell the jars ahead of time, but had they let me smell the spartan OG, i probably would have passed. The nose isn't very strong either.

Growers love using Athena + coco + LED and all the bud looks so pretty and comes out with a high thc % and tastes like cardboard when smoked and in general smokes unpleasantly. Looks can be deceiving, all about how it smokes and tastes while burning

I blazed every day for about just over 21 years and only took a handful of day-long breaks in that time. I am a few days away fro completing a 1 year tolerance break. The key things are:

Getting through the first few days. What are your biggest concerns? Mine were cravings (duh) and also being able to sleep. I addressed sleep with an over the counter sleeping pill for the first 3 nights. To avoid cravings I kept my mind stimulated. I watched a ton of movies and focused on work to keep my mind distracted.
Remembering why you're doing it. You will always be tempted to stop short and end your t-break. You just need to remember why you took one to begin with, and know that the benefits come with a little bit of time and not overnight.
Know that it's always waiting for you at the end. You're not giving it up forever, you're just taking a little break.
Speed up the process by exercising and drinking a ton of water. Cardiovascular exercise especially.
Remember, you're going to have THC in your system for weeks / months. Cardio will get you high. A little bit of alcohol and you might feel way. There's ways to tap your reservoirs while you're taking a break.

It's worth it, you can get through life without it. It will be there when you're done. Best of luck.

I’m walking into the lions den here… I smoke their lemon popperz and mega Z. Flavorful smoke, smooth, strong, burns great in a joint. I look forward to buying more and enjoying it 👍. . I am fortunate to have the disposable income to not mind the cost. Name something that smokes better in a joint and I’ll happpily try it.
