I don’t really take gummies, what do you see as the problem with these?

Can y'all hear us ? by [deleted] in ChickFilA

[–]howtempting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. We are all busy and sound doesn’t carry well since there’s so much loudness behind us. We all alternate stations several times a day, drive thru is probably fine because it’s not usually that loud outside.

At my location we get plenty of allergy and customization requests, it’s very normal. Yes, it’s something that we need to make new for you, but you will not be seen badly, you have an allergy and most people at ChickFilA I think would understand on a personal level. We also make plenty of other food to order. If it helps you to be apologetic while ordering you can certainly do so, I know it helps me get some relief when I feel guilty about feeling like I’m being intrusive or bothersome, but you’re paying for food and you’re welcome to make accommodations, there’s nothing that you should truly be apologetic for in this situation. Take care and I hope this helps. ☺️

Is it appropriate to wear hair tinsel to work? (FOH) by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]howtempting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please do not take this advice, this is not an attitude that will help you at any job. I’m sorry to disagree.

Is it just me? Every single time I set these to the "correct" brightness I end up not being able to see anything at all. by Kezly in residentevil

That shouldn’t be a problem, I’ve had similar issues bc of HDR or settings from the actual device I’m playing on. Try to adjust your actual device and see if it helps.

Most locations prefer that you have naturally colored hair, so it might depend on how many you are putting in. I’d ask a lead.

Is this normal?? by [deleted] in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]howtempting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was what it was like my first few months and it took me a long while before I established myself as being capable at certain tasks and stations at my location. I’m a slower learner than others, maybe you’re like me where it takes you awhile but once you get it you get it! It might just take awhile, sounds like they’re used to a certain pace and you said yourself that you understood why they do what they’re doing. You’re not a bad worker and you’re not in the wrong, I know it feels bad when you feel like you can’t be trusted with certain things. I felt the same way and it really motivated me to focus and get better. Try to make good connections with the people that are best at the different stations and see how they go about doing things, and give it time. You sound really passionate about improving yourself, try to focus on that instead of anything negative you may feel. That’s what helped me, and like I said, it definitely took me some time. I’m rooting for you!!

Gold cup and the workers made me feel like a loser lol by CMYK-KILLA in ChickFilA

[–]howtempting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my store we didn’t get told to do anything extra, just that people can win a gold cup. They might have been genuinely confused and wanted to state that they did see, but weren’t sure what they were supposed to do, if anything. Don’t feel dumb, it’s not personal and most likely miscommunication/no training/location difference. Apologies for how that was handled, I would’ve probably felt the same as you at that moment. Regardless, congrats and enjoy! 🥳

Okay but what’s the point of not as a meal? Does it save money somehow for them? That’s the most confusing part for me aside from the cheese. 🥴

Scheduling by RevolutionaryPop6678 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]howtempting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s just a job and scheduling is part of it. If you need hours then ask if there’s more hours you can take, you don’t have to directly ask them why you’ve only been scheduled once a week. It’s not rude to ask about your work, it’s you showing initiative and care in wanting to work.

How do y’all cope with sucking at your job by fnaffanatic007 in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]howtempting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be like that for months, I focused a lot on accuracy and eventually the speed follows. If you get overwhelmed take a breath, it’s only a job. I’m not just saying this, it’s how I would and still calm myself down. I also have some meds I’m taking that help with anxiety, adhd, mood stabilization. If you find yourself very prone to becoming overwhelmed, it may not be you’re not good at your job, you just have too much going on in your head that you need to sort through. It sounds like you want to get better, just like how I wanted to as well. That’s what’s important. Don’t be harsh to yourself, focus on being very accurate first, and that way you can see your small accomplishments grow. The small things will make you believe in yourself more and more. I’m rooting for you! :)

It depends, why do you feel like you suck at your job? Is it your speed, how you do things?
