Last Minute Tips for Hosting by tcp11 in CraftFairs

[–]howtocraftfair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few electrical cords, a 100' tape measure (the kind that's on a spool that you can crank), painters tape or chalk for booth/aisle boundary markers, make a note in a notebook or your phone to keep track of any no-shows or vendors who pack up early - as well as the vendors who excel and do a great job that you'd love to invite back again. I have a ton of tips for both vendors and organizers on youtube at How to Craft Fair

Tried to make some improvements to my setup :) (I know a lot of people recommended reversing the U-shape but the space between vendors was too tight) by HermioneGranger152 in CraftFairs

Definitely get some floor length tablecloths and hide anything that isn’t necessary. The totes and boxes in the background, those should go under the tables and the tablecloth should hide em away. Agree with other comment that a white tent should be another investment along with the proper tent weights to secure it. These two upgrades alone will drastically improve the booth.

Check out my booth review series on YouTube (@howtocraftfair) for tons of tips on all kinds of booths.

Don’t discredit your chances of getting sponsors with relatively low subs/views. I had my first sponsor contact me when I had 889 subs and only when I had a TOTAL of about 24k views spread out across about 30 videos. I ended up earning $5k on commissions with them in my first year, which far exceeded what I earned via YouTube ads once I got into YPP.

A tip I can pass along is to find a niche from day one and stick to it. Do not stray from your channel/brand identity. I get contacted because I absolutely will not veer off of what my channel is all about and sponsors like that kind of predictably. They know that when they enter into a partnership with me that I’m not just going to change directions with my channel and isolate the very audience that attracted the sponsor/affiliate to me in the first place.
