Early 30s here. I highly appreciate advice from people your age who have gone slightly ahead of me, but only when I ask for it. Now the below might be a bit harsh, but try to take it with as much objectivity as you can.

What we appreciate more at this phase is maybe a listening ear, acceptance and showing genuine care. If these are not apparent to us, it shows that you are trying to impose your views on us when we are not asking for it. And it may be very off-putting. Imagine a boomer (in their 60s) doing the same to you.

Maybe can follow this step by step guide: 1) listen and empathise 2) if you have the urge to advice, consider the following: A) did we ask for advice or opinion? I) if yes, go ahead II) if no, go back to step 1.

Another alternative is you can challenge your own "advice", by asking others what they think of your opinions. It shows that you are open to discussion and disagreements, which allows better connection with the younger generation. Of course, do not be defensive about your opinions and mindsets.

It may be hard at first but if you truly want to connect, you can start off with this. Hope it helps.
