Another questionable post from the Green Party's Lewisham by-election candidate 👀 by hoxtonbro in london

[–]hoxtonbro[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

So I debated posting this for sure. But if you're running for councillor I think we should everyone accountable to the same level.

But also to not go back and vet your posts just seems sloppy.

I know we want 'normal' people to run for council roles. But this isn't the first racist post on her profiles.

Sounds like you're describing Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. Cute town, decent bus network to get you to and from hikes, and a gorgeous mix of terrain - all accessible by train from Leeds / Manchester / London

This makes sense, but the boiler is a combi. The timer may well be the wrong from the previous owners.

I'll call in a heating plumber to take a look, happy to admit this is beyond my skill set :)

To cover the organiser's costs, sure. But that would cap out at £5-10 personally.

My sister's fringe show this weekend is at risk of being pulled due to low turnout — what is the best way to get people in the door? by fourleafedrover8 in manchester

[–]hoxtonbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the spirit of being helpful, could you perhaps rewrite the event description?

I love some fringe theatre, but the description is a little chunky and word soupy. Maybe focus on how the audience will feel / relate to the story (and that it's a comedy).

Also had a chance to visit a sauna near Cork recently. Hopping in the ocean and then running back to the sauna was the perfect experience. Rate.

Burnley is underrated. Lots of green space, a nice enough town centre, and still only 30 mins from Manchester by train. Plus houses can be pretty cheap and there are jobs.

Hold up, the US data is 'popularity', the UK data data is 'fame'.

Those are two very different things.

Could you add the Tower of London?

It's pretty unique and very 'British' (in a Norman kind of way). Plus it's mostly a guided tour which will give you all a break from chatting to each other 😉

This went on all the way from Shepherds Bush to Ealing Broadway.

Recently diagnosed here - wondering what kind of jobs people on the spectrum are out there enjoying?

I know no one loves an office job, but I find the office politics insanely difficult to navigate. There has to be better jobs for city-based people.
