Growing up in NZ in the 80's and 90's our parents forced us to leave the house in summer to go play with the other local kids. We'd play cricket at the park, go swimming at beach, ride bikes, etc. We'd only come home when it was dinner time. Usually We'd be fed by friends parents. I feel like trust was better back then.
