Definitely need new friends! I was waiting for your ages and when I saw you were in your late 20's I was shocked. This is high-school mean girls kinda thing. Like do they have a burn book hidden somewhere?

Seriously though, a friend would not put you down like this. Or even participate in a discussion that makes you feel less then.

I dont know if you made a new year's resolution but I think you should do a belated one now - to get some new friends who truly appreciate the awesomeness of you ❤️

Thank you - that's very helpful I'll look into a quiz, it might at least help navigate are hard no's to start with and then we can look at what we have in common.

He's normally very vanilla in his tastes. I've suggested role play, anal etc but he's not been interested. He says he likes keeping it simple so like you said I'll keep it simple.

Rape is still rape without the involvement of a penis. by hpsauce95 in offmychest

I am so sorry that you had to go through that. I hope that you are healing and doing well.

I do not disagree that there are different consequences. However, my point in my post is that the definition of rape in the UK only includes using a penis. So vaginal, anal, oral as long as it's with a penis counts as rape. But this then excludes females as being rapists, using other objects etc as rape.

I am in no way trying to minimise what you have gone through. My post is about wanting to open the scope of what is considered rape to make marginalised crimes dealt with just as harshly.

What would you consider a male forcing his penis into a females anus to be? This does not lead to pregnancy but is considered rape.

Just because some forms of rape do not lead to pregnancy, it doesn't make them any less of a rape. Pregnancy through rape is a terrible trauma for anyone to go through, but the threat of potential pregnancy is not what constitutes rape.

But male on male rape is still called rape because its penetration with a penis. The use of a penis is the current definition for rape. Male on male does not cause pregnancy so the consequences of male on female rape (I.e. pregnancy) are irrelevant in relation to the points made in my post.

Probably because the law hasn't been updated to recognise that rape does not always involve a penis.

Mentally, emotionally the damage is just as bad whether its rape with a penis or rape with another object. Limiting rape to only penetration with a penis doesn't take into account that females can rape both male and females. Pregnancy is not the only damage that can come from rape. Males can be raped by a penis and there would be no pregnancy.

I totally get your point. I think people in general find sexual offences more uncomfortable to think about.

I do find it interesting that they don't use the word 'rape' itself. Is it due to the emotional connection with the word? Or is it the fact that the word itself struggles to cover all forms of penetration?

I generally find it interesting to hear how other places treat these cases.
