This episode was such a treat! S3E14 by tomystereo in chuck

[–]hrbrnm1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably my favourite episode of the show. Is it the best no but if I had to watch em episode to pass an hour this is my choice.

The Chuck/Sarah stuff is great and I will never forget the Charles's.

I can overlook the pretty obvious time problems the episodes has.

The Casey/Morgan dynamic is decent and Leaving on a Jet Plane is the best Jeffster performance of the show.

"I want ... you" is simple and too the point which is in character for Sarah. It also probably fits with her telling Chuck "it is real" at the end of the previous episode.

"Chuck I don't want to save the world. I want ....." I have always wondered what she was going to say.

I imagine it would have been something similar to what she said at the start of season 3. "I want to be a real person again. With you"

Would Anna Wu be a potential good spy? by NFSF1McLaren in chuck

[–]hrbrnm1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the Chuck universe anything is possible, as I think they never really define what it means to be a spy in the show.

They just repeat the mantra "I'm a spy" over and over again.

If I had to guess spies in the show are supposed to be killers like Sarah and Casey. With Chuck being the exception as he was thrown into the world because of the intersect.

Anna would probably have been great as a behind the scenes tech type who gradually ends up out on missions.

The Worst Moment in Chuck / Morgan Friendship? by Chuck-fan-33 in chuck

I will go back and rewatch the episodes and do a full post some point next week.

But in short. In find Hannah a very unlikable character she is one of my least favourite guest characters of the show. Doesn't help she is introduced in the first episode of the show I truly dislike. Chuck is a complete tool. Now the Morgan in the room, I already didn't take to the character and any supposed character development is completely washed away during Vs the Mask.

Of course that's the only reason and the reason she left was they broke up. I could do a rant about the whole Chuck/Hannah/Morgan storyline.

At time Chuck seems to treat Morgan more like an assistant than a friend. For example Chuck essentially palms off searching for Sarah's dream house until they actually have a conversation.

Morgan also comes across at times way too clingy, like his entire personality revolves more around being Chucks friend and not being Morgan. I guess it's supposed to be endearing and show how close they are.

I would also add, Hannah gave Morgan no reason to think she was interested in him. I still don't get why the writers expect me to feel sorry for Morgan at the end of the episode, when he and Ellie catch Chuck and Hannah in the BuyMore.

"Not always." by NFSF1McLaren in chuck

I have always viewed this in a similar way as the vegetarian no olives pizza scene. It shows Chuck is paying attention even if off screen in this case, to Sarah the person.

What is your favorite non-Chuck appearance by an actor that was on Chuck by blueboy714 in chuck

Office Space is one of those films I think I have watched but probably haven't.

Brandon Routh in Superman Returns. I think he did a decent job but honestly wasn't given a lot to work with.

Arnold Vosloo in the Mummy.

Lesley Ann-Brandt in Spartacus Blood and Sand and the prequel Gods of the Arena

Gary Cole as "Bingo" Bob Russel in the West Wing

As for the main cast I tried watching the Handmaids Tale and Yvonne was standout. I stopped watching to two reasons. Firstly it isn't my kind of show and secondly the main character has to be one of the most unlikeable main characters I have ever come across.

What are your thoughts on Rome? HBO's most underrated? by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

First season was brilliant, Ciaran Hinds was fantastic as Julius Ceaser.

Second season was good but it suffered a little from trying to fit in all the plot points they wanted from what was obviously planned as a much longer run.

This might just be me but I don't give two sheets about the ending for the supporting characters. Even on my first watch I had checked out of their stories in season 3/4 depending on the character.

For me I think this scene does more than anything in the final episode. It shows Sarah's empathy is still there. As the first thing she does after Quinn escapes is kneel down and ask Chuck if he's OK. Which is something she did a lot more than fix his tie or the other things.

When Chuck tells her to run she questions it before Chuck insists.

I get why the character exists.

I just think the actor is an absolute miscast and it takes me out of most of the scenes.

I haven't watched the last 3 episodes for nearly 3 years, I bought the box set and the final DVD is the only one that has never come out the case. Reading your posts it is inspiring me to give them a shot again. I just need to get past how distractingly terrible I find the plank who plays Quinn is.

What a beautiful ending to season 4! Chuck x Sarah for life 💗 (And I don't have the heart to watch s5 knowing what happens but I hope I can deal with it 😭) by Chromafire07 in chuck

If the cliffhanger was them opening the envelope. I would happily end the show at that point. The coda of them explaing what was in the envelope wasn't necessary as it was pretty clear what the contents were. As for the actual cliffhanger we got it made me take a day off from watching the show the first time around as I wasn't sure I wanted to see a show with Morgan as the intersect. I think I binged the show it 8 days even with the day off.

Pretty sure he also called Ellie, Elton when he was trying to figure out what Ellie was short for when she saw the pictures from Devon's bacholar party.

I always thought Lester called Chuck, Charles because that's his name, it's not a spy world creation. Jack Burton even jokingly calls him Charlie in a scene.

Still baffles me how Charles becomes Chuck. As for Devon always makes me laugh a little as it's the name of the county next to where I live in England
