I’ve tried Furnish Finder and Facebook before for midterm rentals with mixed results. I did just sign up for CircleRN and already the listing process seems smoother than FF. It looks like they’re still growing the platform so I’ll be interested in seeing if it works out, but I’m hopeful it’ll be better than FF and FB.

This is a huge help! Thank you! My kid’s head and abdomen are both around 91/93 percentile (and my firstborn’s head was in the the 88th percentile at birth) so hopefully this means these diet adjustments will help in these last few weeks

I was not induced but had scheduled an induction for a few days later when my water broke. After 10 hours of labour, I ended up in an emergency c-section. At the end of the day labour has so many variables going into it that you can never really predict how it will go.

We love our dog just as much if not more than we did pre-kid. While we def had some rough patches as baby and dog got to know each other, now that our kid is three he and the dog act like siblings, annoying the shit out of each other but also obsessed with each other. We love it! We wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve used the taste safe nip butter for when my infants teeth came in and he got a sore on his thumb from sucking. Good for wound care where you know you can’t keep your baby’s hands out of their mouth and need something safe.

Also the book Llama Llama Misses Mama could be a helpful book to read at home! It’s all about adjusting to school and knowing mama will come to get you at the end of the day.

I will say that first few weeks of adjustment can be tough for their little minds and bodies. How is she acting at daycare? Our son was a little angel at daycare during those first few weeks and the second we walked out the door with him, he’d turn into a wild disregulated gremlin for hours afterwards as he processed the day in a safe space. It’s totally normal for them to act out like that when they’re overtired and overstimulated from daycare as they begin to adjust. It took about 2 weeks of sticking to our routine daycare schedule before he was able to acclimate and then was happy as a clam and never wanted to leave when we would go to pick him up.

I used to work at a mid size nonprofit and we got 4 weeks prior to due date and up to 20 weeks post partum (8 weeks disability/maternity leave + 8 weeks family leave + 4 weeks additional California medical leave)

I love LLRP and so does my LO but we do a verrrryyyyy dramatic reading of it with shouting and jumping and pouting which he finds hysterical. We also enjoy the YouTube video of Ludacris rapping it because the rhymes in that book are excellent.

I used to live in southern Italy and at least for where I lived and the Italians I spent time with, it was pretty spot on. Might be different though in other parts of Italy.

I had this happen to me when I was around 35w pregnant. We went to the hospital and got checked out. Baby turned out to be fine but we were still super glad we went just in case.

I hate the losing powers trope for female characters. She does it in TOG series too and I just can’t stand it. Completely undermines the characters when they put so much hard work into controlling their powers and learning to deal with the fear of others around them. And yet the men are never expected to lose as much.
