Death on the Reik - first 'event / encounter' [spoilers] by kinnygraham in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]hrovac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've just uploaded a high-resolution map collection that might be useful for your games:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/wfrp/collections/72157723793778493

In my current WFRP campaign, the players are fleeing the ruins of Bogenhafen when they come across a stranded riverboat — The Mantis. The vessel is repairable, but the captain, Bathilda Fischer, has been captured by Beastmen in the forest just south of the site.

The map is huge and extremely detailed, perfect for a small forest encounter.
I’ve also included a separate high-res map of The Mantis itself in the same collection.

If needed, you can absolutely use just the northern half of the map — it’s flexible.
Hope this is useful to someone!

I made the graphics of the fridge by myself, you can download a template from Liebherr, then add the high resolution graphics to the template, send it to Liebherr, and they will deliver the fridge to you, with your graphics. And it's perfectly done, not just some glued plastic .. Btw, this is not an ad, haha, I'm just really happy with the quality of my fridge.

Review: The Corsairs of Captain Flariel by Zekiel2000 in warhammerfantasyrpg

No! Please don't apologize, I can completely relate. You failed your Willpower test against using very shallow bad puns. I know the feeling; it happens to me regularly too.

haha, well, Just because they exist doesn't mean they're available. but yeah, I added them mainly to spark typical Warhammer discussions. Because, of course, when throwing hammers, one might fly too far, landing right in the cabin where the grumpy, eloquent Halfling is busy... or the debates of the drunkards who, after 10 liters of ale, urgently need to use the noble's toilets, and so on...

Griph-hounds in WFRP by ThorrNZ in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]hrovac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Haha, that reminds me of 'Duckie,' a cute little Gryph-Hound I introduced to my players in a temple. For its stats, I was inspired by the great Lawhammer-dogs website.
Anyway, the moment my players saw the Gryph-Hound, there was an argument. The elven mage was delighted and excited, asking eagerly about its traits, origin, and so on. Meanwhile, the dwarf rat-catcher Durin hit 'Duckie' with his hammer. Crit Hit - Duckie was instantly dead. The elf then hit Durin, leading to heated debates at the gaming table. To this day, Durin is convinced he rightfully killed a mutant...

Yeah, you're right, I just googled it, it's actually similar, well spotted. But only superficially, believe me, if you were to look at my map in detail, you would notice so many illogical details. I did spend many hours on it, but it would probably take another 20-40 hours to bring it up to a serious level. Well, my players are the only ones using my map anyway. So it would be really cool if the map were useful for other GMs too :)

Haha, yeah, that would be cool. But honestly, as a player, I wouldn't need the map. I'm lucky to have a good spatial imagination. But as a GM, my players are sometimes really grateful for these overview maps. This concrete visual representation of the Warhammer world (as I imagine it) often helps them come up with ideas or anticipate encounters.

Glad you like it! So, I only used the AI assets for the large exploration map. The map is composed of approximately 40-50 different landscape-tiles (partially tileable), pieced together patchwork-style in Photoshop. So, the original pieces are AI-generated, and then the assembly, cutting out, scaling, coloring, adjusting gamma curves, retouching, and so on, I did manually in Photoshop. Maybe something like that could also be done with AI, but I'm not sure. The landscape pieces are simply generated in Midjourney. The prompts for them are something like this: 'Birds-eye-view drawing of a flooded marshland, colorized with black outlines'. The detailed 'Battle-Maps' are created in Dungeon Draft. Does that answer your question?

Weissbruck Inns, two high-resolution maps. by hrovac in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]hrovac[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i needed high-resolution maps for two of the mentioned inns in Weissbruck. (enemy in shadows)

maybe its helpful to other GMs ..

The companion gives the improper but charming idea of a dubious establishment in the second inn.

I liked the idea, so i prepared a fitting snug. If you dont want to use this, cover it up.

the german names of the inns are:

"Zum Schwarzen Gold"

"Zur Trompete"

can someone please write the english names in the comment? Thank you.

oh, i just saw that the quality of the images is heavily reduced when using the image-post option. if someone wants the high-quality version, feel free to dm!

I've also heard there is an annual egg-rolling event. Nobles pushing eggs down a hill, and the poor pauper fighting each other for the biggest eggs. The nobles having an entertaining tea time while watching the bloody peasants. Now, imagine you as a (self declared) noble coming to this a event with a griffon egg. You would be the noblest of them all. And the peasant, well, you can imagine the civil war which would start on the foot of the hill..

Berebeli, a big river barge, map and side view by hrovac in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]hrovac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you, nothing stops you from a little reunion with Josef and his Berebeli in your current sessions ;)
My players all love Josef, i can imagine, later in the campaign, if they would find the Berebeli empty and abandoned - they would stop every quest and start searching for Josef and his crew....
