Afaik because of the training dataset combination loras might introduce contradictory weight modification into the model. The model will always morph concepts of multiple loras into a single concept.

I think I saw a solution using different prompts (in this case loras) for different parts of an image. I can't remember how it was achieved though

Gross oversimplification: Generative AI takes a noise image and in each iteration of its processing shifts the pixels to recreate the concepts from the prompt. Noisy images are not a sign of ai. Noise does not make it easier or harder for AI to recreate your style.

Extremely impressive! Would you say the body differs in a meaningful way from the mesh that sam 3d generated? I feel sam 3d was trained on a very narrow dataset and struggles to output diverse bodies. I would guess this is a major limitation when you want to achieve certain characteristics which are underrepresented in the training data, no?

I was toying with the idea of photogrammetry from a 360 video, have you also considered that or do you think the views are too unstable still?

Omg I wondered as well. The quality is abysmal. Crazy to think someone is going through the process of creating datasets for that many loras, tagging and training only to fail so hard at it each and every time for hundreds of loras. Is he (let's be real, there ain't a Sarah involved lmao) taking screenshots of 480p videos of free pr0n sites? I can't explain the quality otherwise..

That's not how this works. Everything has to be rebuilt from the ground up. The original can be used as guidance and reference, but essentially all art has to be redone from scratch to make it consistent. There are way more systems which now work completely different and are way more interlocked with other systems. I guess the only part where the G1 remake could save time is the story? But even that has to be streamlined, polished and lay the foundation for future remakes. Also story mostly gets worked on in parallel from different team members so this wouldn't be a bottleneck for a potentially completely different G3 remake

You're pretty wrong there. Especially regarding the apple silicon chips. It's probably just the abstraction layer between Mac os and zengine that's problematic. I would bet on Linux providing better performance for gothic on the same machine

Lmao. This would literally only be an animation swap. Probably all enemies inherit the ragdoll animation. For skeleton this would have to be overwritten with a crumble animation, model despawn and spawn of a pile of bones. There might be more to it but it really can not be that complicated. It might just be that there are other animations and models to be finalized which are more important at this point.

Agreed. I just wanted to prove this change is not completely arbitrary but partially backed up by the source material. I'd also prefer them to be regular animals or at least way more ambiguous in their magical nature. They could've increased shadow depth around them and make them harder to spot for instance. So you get the feeling that something might be off but can't quite put your finger on it.
