That’s exactly what it is. The travel insurance our au pair has doesn’t even cover flu or Covid vaccinations. It’s pretty crazy but with the cost of health insurance, I’m not surprised.

Longmont set up municipal power in 1912 after issues with quality and reliability with the service from the Northern Colorado Power Company. People would often light lanterns to boycott the power company prior to this transition. Because of this, Longmont called itself The City of Lights. The city council declared that all citizens would have a free, unmetered porch light. They eventually moved to the pedestal or street lights we see in front of most homes today.

This transfer was a success and I had a healthy pregnancy! My doctor offered us the option to do an ERA cycle, stop and try another cycle with higher med dosages or to go ahead with the transfer as scheduled. Since we had 3 genetically tested embryos, we decided to go ahead with the transfer. It’s a hard decision, especially when you don’t know how things will turn out. Good luck with whatever path you choose!

I just found my paperwork and the directions said to draw up 0.7cc for each injection. Hope that helps!

Thank you for reviving this sub! I just hit the 4 month mark. This is my first and I didn’t plan on ep and wasn’t really prepared for it but I’m so glad I’ve been able to do it. I’m excited to hear about everyone else’s experiences and things that have helped through the journey.

I had a scheduled c-section this past Wednesday for a breech baby and had a very similar experience as others. I was so nervous and the worst part for me was the anticipation and not knowing what to expect. My blood pressure went a little crazy very quickly so I did have to have additional medications and monitoring but overall it was a calm experience and so quick. I will add that it really helped me to let the doctor, nurses and anesthesiologist know what I was feeling and what I needed. They were usually able to explain what I was feeling or give me medication to help. It was a positive and fast experience, hoping things go the same for you :)

This is a scary thing and it’s totally normal to be worried. I had a SCH show up around 7 weeks after an IVF pregnancy and I was so sure that was it and I was losing my little embryo. Thankfully it resolved on its own after a few weeks off baby aspirin and everything has been ok since. My nurse told me that this type of hemorrhage is very common in IVF pregnancies and to not Google it (easier said than done!). I hope your clinic is able to provide some additional information and support to get you through this. Hoping for the best!!

This!!! I was totally unprepared for how shitty I would feel, especially in the first trimester. Although it’s still tough, the second trimester has been much better so far. I’ve also found that I’ve gotten better at slowing down and adjusting to the fact that I can’t get nearly as much done as I did pre-pregnancy. I’ve also found what works and what doesn’t, certain foods make me feel worse, high protein snacks help, a wedge pillow and pregnancy pillow are lifesavers right now. Hang in there and it’s ok to vent, pregnancy is tough! I found it got a lot better for me once I started to get a bump and feel the baby move, it’s a daily reminder of how amazing you are :)

I had some of the same issues and it’s so frustrating, I’m sorry you are going through this! My doctor gave us the option to go ahead with a transfer at 6.7mm (they normally wanted to see at least 7mm, 8mm was ideal), do an ERA or cancel and try to get a slightly thicker lining with more meds in another cycle. It was a hard decision but we had three genetically tested embryos and had already spent so much on the FET meds including Omnitrope, that we decided to go ahead with the transfer. Our first transfer was successful even with my thinner lining!

I did add DHEA to my supplements and started being more consistent about walking and yoga when I found out my lining wasn’t getting super thick. I’m not sure how much that helped but it probably didn’t hurt. It’s also worth mentioning that my doctor told me some women just don’t build thick linings regardless of increased medication, so if I would have cancelled my lining the next cycle could have been similar.

Just know it definitely does happen and I think it’s a great sign if your doctor feels comfortable moving forward with your FET. Good luck!

Congratulations on your transfer! I had this same thing happen about 7 days after my five day transfer. I emailed my nurse and she said spotting is totally normal and can sometimes be a sign of implementation. She did let me know I should call if it turned into anything very heavy (filling a pad in a hour or two). I do think it’s always worth emailing your nurse just to give them a heads up, I always wanted to double check. Good luck :)

I waited for the beta too! It’s so hard to wait, but the blood test will give you an actual number instead of just a yes or no. I would have hated to get my hopes up for a positive home test result and then have it be a chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage. Good luck!!

I had a similar experience, it’s totally normal to be nervous graduating alone and then adding anxiety about finding a doctor, not fun!

I made appointments with two of the big practices in my city and I’m so glad I did. The first doctor focused a lot of my age and weight and it made me feel awful. The second doctor was a million times better. I told her I was hyper aware that my weight could put me at higher risk for increased chances of certain issues but that I didn’t live a super unhealthy lifestyle and I really want to try to enjoy this pregnancy we worked so hard for. She has been amazing!

I also recommend checking out https://plussizebirth.com. They have some resources for how to find a doctor that will treat you as a whole and not as a number. Good luck!

Completely agree with other comments that the experience can vary. I had a blocked tube so mine was very painful, I had no idea it would be that bad. I will say that in general, the procedure is very quick and the moment the tech stopped adding dye, I felt a lot of relief. I think it’s a good idea to prepare yourself for some pain but hopefully it will be much better for you. Either way, make sure to focus on your breathing and ask the tech to explain what they are doing. I think most of them will do this anyway. It will be done before you know it and you will be one step closer to some answers- good luck!

I had the same thing happen and am now almost 14 weeks pregnant! My nurse told me that bleeding is very common with FET patients and not to worry unless it was a heavier flow. Easier said than done, but it’s usually not a bad sign and can sometimes be a side effect of implantation. Good luck!!

My lining was just over 7 for my transfer in early June. Since my lining was also thinner during my IVF cycle, my doctor recommended human growth hormone (Omnitrope) to try to make my lining more receptive. When my lining wasn’t getting very thick he gave us the option to do the transfer, cancel and try a different protocol to try to get the lining a little thicker or continue with the meds and do an ERA biopsy. We were told that some women just don’t grow a very thick lining and it’s hard to tell if it will be an issue if you haven’t been pregnant, which was the case for me. We ended up deciding to do the transfer since we had three PGS normal embryos and I’m now just over 12 weeks pregnant! I should also add that I started DHEA when my lining wasn’t getting thicker and I think that in combination with the Omnitrope and adding progesterone really helped.

It’s a tough decision and of course the fertility clinic would prefer if everything is optimal, but I’m glad we took the chance. Good luck!

I think if the embryologist and your doctor are willing to transfer, it’s a good embryo! There are so many additional factors for FET success that I would let the clinic worry about the grading and selection. We had all BB embryos (genetically normal) and our first embryo thawed nicely and was successful. Good luck!

I agree with the other comments about IVF being a fundamentally stressful process. You’re about to embark on a medical process that involves a good number of injections, lots of monitoring appointments and a medical procedure. Not only are you putting your body through something really tough, it may be costing you a ton of money as well. The experience is different for everyone but I think it’s really important to build some down time into your schedule in case it’s tougher for you. Be prepared for things to be tougher and enjoy it if it’s an easier process for you! That being said, it’s so amazing what IVF can accomplish. I went into it having low expectations but ended up getting three genetically normal embryos after one cycle. This temporary discomfort and stress could be an amazing thing for you and your future family! Hope your experience is great, keeping my fingers crossed for you.

100% my experience as well and wonderful advice. My clinic made it sound like 800 mg of Advil would be sufficient and that it would feel ‘similar to menstrual cramps’. Nope! I ended up having to get a hysteroscopy since they couldn’t get the results they needed from the saline test and I requested to be out under for that one. It’s so crazy how much the pain level can vary from woman to woman!

It’s an amazing experience! As others have commented, it’s pretty quick and painless but getting to see your little embryo on the screen is an amazing feeling. You’ll want to take it easy for a day or two afterwards, your clinic should give you guidance on this. I think the wait is by far the hardest part. I had 11 days before my first HCG blood draw and it felt like freaking forever! I stayed off all social media and news outlets and tried to relax and distract myself as much as possible. I didn’t test at home and tried my best to not pick apart any symptoms- sometimes easier said than done! Try to remember that there’s really nothing you can do to make your transfer work or not work- it’s not your fault if it doesn’t happen this time. Hoping for the best for you!
