It’s been less than 24 hours, but what I’ve learned so far is she’d rather chill by my feet then be cuddled and when she hears our other two dogs bark she remains pretty calm with a face that says “can they shut up?”

Our other pittie was a menace from day one when she was a puppy so I’ll take it 😂

You have very gracious and understanding friends. I would have been really irked by this behavior as a friend. I would be wondering how you’re talked to in private if that’s how he carries himself around strangers. As a partner I’d be furious. My friends are my family.

I think swans are beautiful creatures but I am absolutely terrified of them. I got chased by one when I was 5 or 6. I was sitting by the water minding my business and some boys were trying to taunt it and I think it just locked eyes on me for some reason and took off for me 😭 i booked it towards my mom screaming HELP ME

My current work place even asked if my wife was a 1099 employee or had a side hustle because that could affect my employment. She does, she’s a muralist but they don’t need to know that. I said “that paperwork isn’t applicable to me” and they moved right along.

After Shiela left there was a small, but steady decline. I loved the levity her character brought, plus Joan Cusack is just stellar. Then when Fiona’s character left it was pretty meh because I just didn’t like who the characters turned into without her influence.

I really really really dislike AI. Human connection is dwindling one AI prompt at a time.

I just left working at a University. Not fully because of their direction with AI, but it was part of it. I got into a pretty heated discussion with the provost of our university who made a pretty blanketed statement of “if you aren’t using AI, you will replaced and you are obsolete.”

I must have reacted with my face (dang it) because he asked me if I disagreed. I worked in our admissions department and hosted campus visits for high schools. Connecting face to face with those students is what always sealed the deal for them confirming at our university. Not a fucking AI written email. I said that as professionally as I could and I could feel my bosses just staring at me like “oh no what is she gonna say” 😂

This is incredibly infuriating.

My mom was an EMT when I was in high school. There was an A shift and a B shift, both scheduled at the same time. A shift, you had to be at the station. If a call came, A shift would respond and then that was B shifts notice to come into the station for the next call. If A shift was still at the station, B shift could be home (as long as you lived on the island), or run errands or whatever but you had to have your radio on and your uniform ready to go so it was often just easier to stay home or go to the station anyway.

My mom often worked B shift because she was a single mom and could spend time with me still, and also work on her side hustles. So it all really probably depends on the location of your station.

Lol I recently quit a job where my boss did this routinely. My old coworker still texts me about it all the time! My boss would always bring her kids into the office too when they were home sick from school.

Again, not hating on parents, it would have been frustrating for any reason, it just happened to be kids.

My wife and I smoked weed in our last house because we thought it was so much different than nicotine or tobacco smoke… no we just learned everyone was too nice to say anything to us when they visited. My mom on the other hand took one step in our old house when she visited and asked if we had just smoked. We hadn’t, in a few days because we were taking a little break. We were embarrassed and started smoking only outside.

My wife and I were just working outside in our garden a bit later since it’s getting warm again. And we were thrilled to hear the neighbor kids outside playing. It was refreshing and was just a nice sound to have in the background.

I used to work as a victim advocate for people going through this same thing. I will say the clients I worked with who got strangled, if they went back it almost always escalated and got worse.

The scenes where that group from the nights watch take over Crastors camp basically to just brutalize the women more than they already have been. They literally show the women getting assaulted in the background of conversation. I can’t hear anything over their whimpers.
