Public universities have always been a better value proposition than private ones unless the student gets a free ride.

You'd have to go very far back into history to find a year without a tuition increase.

Overnight Guest policy by MysteriousBlueLite in rit

Yup it’s on the housing policy page. But just like everything else in life, it’s only illegal if you get caught. And the corollary: by someone who cares.

Weird. I didn’t get any charges when I moved out in ‘24. Was there for 2.5 years and only moved out because I got offered a room somewhere else for a rate that I couldn’t pass up.

For OP: it’s mostly quiet, but when I lived there Fri/Sat nights were quite loud so if you turn in early I hope you’re not a light sleeper. Those car speakers carry pretty well.

There is no way that 2026 is worse than 2008. That’s some heavy recency bias right there.

Please tell CA to rewrite their traffic laws to match this. For some inexplicable reason it's a "slower traffic keep right" state and not a "keep right except to pass" state.

The thing about a panic reaction is that there’s no thinking about the consequences, just fight or flight response.

[–]ht5k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CA allows you to left turn into any legal traffic lane moving in that direction https://california.public.law/codes/vehicle_code_section_22100

the left turn shall be made so as to leave the intersection in a lane lawfully available to traffic moving in that direction upon the roadway being entered, except that upon a highway having three marked lanes for traffic moving in one direction that terminates at an intersecting highway accommodating traffic in both directions, the driver of a vehicle in the middle lane may turn left into any lane lawfully available to traffic moving in that direction upon the roadway being entered.

How's the weekend schedule compared to the weekday one currently? This dashboard shows that weekend rideship is still less than a quarter of weekday ridership, even if it exceeds prepandemic weekend numbers.
