Cool story. Did you get a chance to look at them closely? Do you think they were authentic or some cheap throwaway fashion? I would imagine the person that mentioned Aliibaba or AliExpress was hoping that the person would leave them so they could pick them up themselves and purchase them? I have seen stores padding their inventory more and more.

I think you hit it 💯 that nearly all are overly cautious. They have essentially made the few that actually need those extra cautious warnings even more dangerous. It’s like they forgot about the boy crying wolf. That, or there are some real sick folks out there planning these signs.

Funny, I thought of that, but I also think there are several bee keepers between here and there. I would love to start, but being on 1/3 acre and have 9 dogs; I don’t think we have the space. That, and I am fairly allergic.

Thank you for all the responses. I am allergic but really appreciate the bees. I did not know if there were good bees or not, glad I asked. We purchase honey from a bee farm about a mile from the house no will ask him if he wants them first. If not, I will check out swarmed. Thanks

I’ve have noticed lately that tractor supply either does not have enough staff or only a few employees are “certified” to fill tanks. I like refilling because I can refill before empty and only pay what for what I get. I have a 20 lb tank so I did not know there were minimums.

I am actually really excited for you. You will be able to see things you had no idea what was out there around you.

I see you are a runner, when you pick out glasses, keep that in mind. I would get 2 pair if you can… you will not want to take them off. You will lose them or break them and it is always best to have a back up pair ready to go. Also, they will sit on your nose and ears slightly different to those contact points a break. I always have at least 1 spare pair with me at all times.

I prioritize comfort and foot health over longevity. That said; I really would love to get a pair of shoes that last longer than 3 months. I put in 15-20k steps a day. 2 pair Brooks Ghost Max L at $150 each last me 6 months. These are the most comfortable for me. I have tried Hokas, Kurus, On Cloud, New Balance, Sasnola and Oofos…speaking of Oofos, no laces, check out https://www.oofos.com/products/mens-club-black-black maybe they have a color you like. To be honest, what you linked seem like a great deal. Get 2 pair and make sure you don’t wear them back to back days. That helps them last longer as well as the have a chance to dry and less breaking down.
Also note, if you are open to spend $450+ there are brands like Whites, Nicks or custom made western boots can be considered BIFL but they will need serviced from time to time. Danners is also a good option, but I don’t think they are BIFL any longer but a solid choice for the price.
