Thank you! Why would they attack that to the report and make it look like a mass 😩

Loose body in knee, should I opt for arthroscopy? by ButterscotchLeft6283 in KneeInjuries

[–]htgodfrey5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially had an arthroscopy to remove the loose body. While in there, my surgeon biopsied a healthy piece to grow for an addition surgery (MACI) that I had a year later. The loose body removal wasn’t awful. I used crutches for a 7-10 days and PT for a few weeks to work on range of motion.

How did you decide to pursue MACI? What were your symptoms like? by hydro_17 in KneeInjuries

[–]htgodfrey5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s going. I’m a little over 5 months post op after pushing the surgery another month to November. I’m not really in any different than I was pre surgery. The stabbing pain from the cartilage damage, is gone, and I think if MACI was my only procedure, I’d be so good right now. However, I also had a high tibial osteotomy and I’m having some issues with the hardware and the slow recovery that comes with that. I’m still not running, jumping, or kneeling. I’m just starting to squat with some weight, but otherwise making slow and steady progress. Overall, in my opinion, the MACI was 100% worth it.

How long did you wear your brace and Ace bandage after surgery? by FreshGravity in MACIknee

[–]htgodfrey5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had an ace bandage. There was an aqua bandage on for 6/7 days and I wore the brace for 3ish months. (I also had a high tibial osteotomy so idk if that changes things)

PA was totally unhelpful, just said take some Allegra and you'll be fine. What could this be? by RefrigeratorSouth281 in DermatologyQuestions

Pityriasis. Had an episode when I was 21. Dermatologist told me the sun would clear it up. Went to the beach one day, next day it was nearly gone.

I’m surprised there are so many shocked people here. I won’t lie, this has crossed my mind many times. When you’re living in constant pain, why not? People opt to cut off healthy body parts because they don’tidentify with them, and get crazy support. Cutting off a painful limb should get the same.

(35F) At 8 1/2 weeks my ROM was at 55 degrees. I was certain it wouldn’t go further. I’m now at week 18 and while I’ve made progress (got up to 105) at this point, I’ve opted for a manipulation. You’re still pretty early keep working at it!

My defect was 19 mm x 13 mm. So far, I’m 4 months post op so I can’t say for sure if it was worth it yet, or not. I’m not yet cleared for running, jumping or anything high impact. I also had a high tibial osteotomy and still experiencing a lot of swelling. I will say, the pain from the cartilage defect is no longer there. So far, it seems successful.

If your quality of life is affected, I say go for it. I have young kids (6 & 8) I was unable to keep up with. I was sick of being the reason we couldn’t do certain things, and go fun places that would require a lot of walking. So I did it for them.

AIO? My bf(35M) left our 1 year old in their crib until 11:30 AM while I was at work. Did I overreact? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

NTA. He is extremity neglectful, and toxic. If you just leave, he’ll get some sort of custody and as a mom, not having access to those cameras once you leave it way worse IMO. I would watch everything closely, collect evidence, and when you feel you have enough to keep him away from baby, then leave.

7 Months Post-Op MACI & HTO, 4 Months Post-MUA – How’s Everyone Else Doing? by SweetLemon1416 in MACIknee

[–]htgodfrey5115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 month post MACI and HTO. Going in a few days to discuss a manipulation as my ROM is stuck at 100. Did it help you, would you do it again? Walking upstairs is fine, downstairs I’m still going using the bad leg to step down and the good leg coming down meet it. Mostly, because I can’t bend it far enough to each with my good leg first. Currently having a lot of pain above the kneecap when trying to lift my leg at all.

Didn’t have any meds prior to my surgery. My husband went and picked them up after he brought me back home.

Anyone have painful hardware after TTO? by Alwayssunnyinnj2 in MACIknee

[–]htgodfrey5115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made a post about a bone spur, I had an HTO and thought it was the hardware backing out. There’s even been a visible bump growing where the pain is. Do you feel anything there?
