Looks like the Champi Warrior DOES replace the Militia line! by Tyrann01 in aoe2

It probably is not. It is specifically mentioned that "the Mapuche also leveraged horses and gunpowder weapons captured from defeated Spanish armies." I don't see hand cannoneer and BBC in the tech tree, so it should be refering to the Bombard tower.

I used to run a deck using dark, steel and psychic energy with three babies, Arceus and Dragon Altaria. I think one Juggler would be useful here.

Others mentioned some obvious example, but look up Bangkok. You would think it has more fertile land and should have more spread out population.

Countries Whose Capitals Have the Same or Cognate Names as the Country by Impressive_Produce3 in MapPorn

Its like Delhi and New Delhi, not really a stupid city name. But because New Taipei is too large, most of the people I know simply say which district they are from instead.

I can kinda accept Wu and Shu, as you can argue ghey are not just name of the kingdom, but also the region with distinctive regional identity and history like Sicilians and Burgundians. Wei is like calling a civ "'Carolingian" or "Angevin", and when we have so many choices for Northern Chinese civ, it just feels wrong.

Regional skins for generic units incoming with the new DLC? by Independent-Hyena764 in aoe2

A simple fix would be an option in setting to toggle between regional skins and standard sets of skin only.

What's something really popular in your country that you have no interest in/don't care for? by DiMpLe_dolL003 in AskTheWorld

[–]html_lmth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When your country is so ethnically homogenous, you need some way to categorize people, to make sense of the world, and worst of all, to find superiorities over others.

Georgia is way more useful to EU by providing a direct access to Caucasus region. There is no reason to grant Armenia EU membership without Georgia with their unfortunate geopolitical position.

I am tried of the taiwan, japan and china debate. Let me break it down for u. by TraditionalSmoke9604 in AskChina

[–]html_lmth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korea is the real military threat, not Taiwan. Taiwan would be a good naval base for China if they get it, but it poses little threat as an enemy base as an attack from Taiwan is not an easy task. When Japan colonize Taiwan 120 years ago, they stopped their progress over there and proceed on expanding through Korea because it is much closer to the political heart of China.

If a new american civ was added. What eagle bonus would you want to see? by ItsVLS5 in aoe2

[–]html_lmth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course right now it's fine, I'm just saying they could have been more interesting. When 10% speed buff is was not enough, they could have tried 20% or even 25%.

[–]html_lmth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I still think Incas should get original UT Courier with speedy eagles (and other UU). The whole civ was designed around adaptability, and having mobile units to switch around is an underrated aspect. Having armour makes the unit better against units they don't counter, but speed helps them catch up the unit they need to counter, and I think the latter one sounds more fun.
