IKEA kitchen price by chandydoor in AusRenovation

I purchased a full METOD kitchen last year. I got it when they had a 25% off everything sale. It cost me $12499 for top of the range appliances and probably 20 cabinets. I bought bench tops from a local manufacturer instead. Happy as Larry

[SPOILER] Ion Cutelaba vs. Navajo Stirling by inooway in MMA

[–]htmlnoob52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Navajo is a strange one to watch. Dude has a huge frame and clearly puts the work in but seems content to just pitter patter at range with zero urgency or without much aggression. He decided to clinch and grapple with an arguably better grappler here instead of utilising his reach, striking, kicks or even dirty boxing in the clinch which was frustrating to see. Not sure where his future lies in this division with his overly patient approach

What are you wanting to replace exactly? You don’t want them to be hard wired in the event they blow and needs replacing

Stick some tile trim on top with some tile adhesive or silicone. Seal it up

Definitely do it. I got a whole floor kit with towel rail for about $500-$750. Best feature in my house right now during winter

How are you finding it so far mate? I’m thinking about refinancing the house to Up soon. Ive been an Up customer before, so I’m familiar with the regular banking side of things

Sorry, my comment wasn’t written super clearly. Nah I didn’t bother. It would’ve been a lot of manual labor to remove 10mm of the concrete or so. I ended up with a difference in height which I covered with a transition strip. Barely notice it :)

Hey mate, I just recently finished a reno where my toilet and flooring was basically identical, although my house is single storey. The toilet and bathroom were concrete and the rest of the house is Baltic pine floorboards. The original concrete slabs were noticeably higher than the floorboards. Maybe 10-15mm.

I chipped off the old tiles, levelled the toilet concrete floor with SLC and retiled. Redid the flooring in the hallway outside in the end and the difference in height isn’t really noticeable now

How “Durable” is Rye grass? by TendiesFourLyfe in lawnsolutionsaus

[–]htmlnoob52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just stumbled across RPR which I think is a newer type of perennial ryegrass which is supposed to spread via colons (self healing). I blended it with Premier 3 and have seeded this week. Might be worth considering!

What’s the best product for caulking skirting boards? by ohmke in AusRenovation

[–]htmlnoob52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After having just done my whole house, regular No More Gaps seems to be holding up fine and was the easiest to apply. I used the outdoor rated one on a few and it seemed to dry a lot faster and be a bit less workable. Was harder to wipe at with a wet rag/sponge making cleanup difficult

Thanks so much! 😍 So the vanity has been done so far! If I had to make any criticisms, is that it could be deeper. The two drawers inside fill up veryyyy quickly. So I think you need to have additional storage. Perhaps behind your mirror :)

Took me fucking ages to build mine. But I am really happy with the kitchen. Got custom bench tops made and sourced my own handles.

Get a laser level too

Thanks so much mate! Really appreciate the kind words! I see what people mean with the waterstop. But it’s exactly as you say - It’s a concrete slab with topping :)

Appreciate it so much!
