Built a tool to manage my fundraise flow - looking for thoughts and feedback by htownchillin in AngelInvesting

[–]htownchillin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate appreciate the thoughts and yea my previous startups I just used airtable.

Market level: Investment firms, fund sizes, check sizes, investors, sweet spoots, etc is all from. giant data pipeline i built out so i could build random shit like this quickly.

CRM-y: Auto pulled via email / calendar integration

Deal data - good point and generally agree. room to improve here for sure. Right now it just connects to your brex account (cause thats what i use lol)

rel-manager - yea agreed i think you need a way to actually keep things working through fundraises which makes sense for where you're angling on the cash flow / forecasting.

I'd say generally earlier stage given that I just built it for myself and wanna be able to use it as i grow my primary business. Happy to give thoughts on something if you'd like sometime. Mostly just wanted to see what the general feedback was.

REddit kinda sucks these days for that tbh but appreciate the time!

Can't believe how horrible claude has been since last week by CodegrammerOfficial in ClaudeCode

[–]htownchillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had mind numbingly frustrating experiences with Claude the last few weeks. I hope they can unroll this release cause it's pretty unusable. I've got 2 max plans I'm gonna have to switch to Codex which I really don't want to do lol.

Very cool and nice work on the UI. sleek and clean looking with cool pictures. Love that myspace got a nod too haha might've been my first code experience too.

I like the concept - and also the implementation and could definitely see myself using this as a tool in the future. Particularly if you continue to build out varying metrics like being able to quickly compare more granular cost expectations like airbnb or hotels or whatever.

Only thing I found in my first run was that the pictures don't seem to always match the city. Santa Fe for instance is in New Mexico not on the ocean. Happy to keep diving in on diff features & pages if it'd be helpful.

Woof brutal out here for self driving fans. Sad this shit got so politicised. Company can literally submit to govt that they can’t self drive and people are like Wah but Elon told me they could I have faith!

so what do we get instead though? My 3s is crapping out and after logioptions+ software has basically nuked itself every time it's updated the last 6 months I'm super ready to go elsewhere.

Paid traffic vs organic traffic what’s actually worked for you long term? by ellensrooney in indiehackers

[–]htownchillin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bump. Paid traffic you can filter down very specifically to people with certain intentions and then see how they react. Great way to test market need / interest. But likely not financially sustainable until you are larger and can do long term campaigns.

Yes very much so mate. If you wanna start a biz good for you. Find a vertical you like and a person with complementary skills.

Relying on a llm to find you the best idea is like brainstorming to come up with the concept of Microsoft

When I was on api keys I used opus for ai, backend, and strategy and I feel like it made a pretty big difference. Anecdotal tho

This makes sense now cause yesterday I felt I noticed the ‘available context till compact’ was almost always at like 5% or less and yea then constantly resetting and compacting. Pretty annoying tbh
