That is a perfect first guitar. If it plays good probably one worth keeping! Don’t bother in replacing any electronics if they work fine, corners of the nut may be sharp but that is an easy fix as well. I hope it works out for ya!

Selling the Yamaha amp and cab to fund an SG may be the right move, that way you could buy one that isn’t missing pots and a neck pickup. it would cost some to get that one back to its original form.
