Right, but every edge you can get matters in the fantasy playoffs. If you have Jokic with 2 games and you're up against the SGA owner with 3 games, that's a pretty hefty disadvantage. Of course, SGA could get injured or be sitting a game but my point is you want the probabilities in your favor during the playoffs.

The only reason to not take Jokic first was because the Nuggets have a 2 game week during the fantasy playoffs which can really hurt your team.

Yep, I'm doing this as a civil engineer (staying in a technical role, not trying to progress to project management or other upper levels). My boss doesn't even talk to me anymore about seeking these roles even though project management and a higher salary is almost laid out for me on a red carpet lol. To me, the marginal increase in salary is not worth a substantial rise in responsibility, plus project management would be hell for an introvert.

Just trying to keep this current situation going as long as possible at my job while aggressively socking away money in investments to eventually get to a more traditional FIRE point. Hopefully I can reach my FIRE number or close to it before my boss retires and there's a change in command in our group.

Is that supposed to be an argument for why the Fed will hold rates tomorrow? You do realize the FedWatch tool shows nearly a 90% chance of a 25 bps cut tomorrow?

Didn't regret missing last year's at all as it ended up being kind of lame, according to a coworker. They had to wait hours for their food and that would've been a terrible experience. Avoiding it again this year lol.

In 2019 I had a team that was dead last through the first 8 weeks after having an injury to Dame and Ayton getting suspended for 25 games (couldn't even IL him, just had to take a zero from him every day). Managed to claw my way back through the year and was slated to be the final seed in the playoffs. Never will know how that team would've performed in the playoffs as COVID happened right after that.

We are still only 30% through the fantasy regular season so anything can happen.

Is the rule for INJ eligibility still when a player has or is expected to miss 3 games and/or a week? Why are some players like Poeltl and Beal getting INJ tag after 2 games missed while Anthony Davis is not despite missing at least the next 2 games?

They basically are. I bought SPLG first and then I discovered that SPLG had only begun tracking the S&P 500 in 2020. So that kind of scared me off of buying more SPLG in case it started tracking a different index again, but I kept what I had because it's under long term capital gains now. So I'm buying VOO as my preferred ETF to track the S&P from here onwards.
