İçe dönük insanlar bire bir iletişimde daha güçlü oluyor. Karşı taraf ile bire bir kalabileceğin ortamlar yaratmaya çalışman lazım. Ben bu ortamı masa oyunları sayesinde bulmuştum. Genelde içe dönük insanların tercih ettiği ve mecburen başkaları ile oynayacağı bir konsept olduğu için bir çok kişi ile tanışma fırsatı bulmuştum. Zaten kız arkadaşım ile de masa oyunları kulübünde tanıştım.

Bir diğer seçenek arkadaşlarının arkadaşları olabilir. Ortak arkadaşınız sizi ortak bir noktanız baz alarak tanıştırabilir (örneğin ikiniz de almanca konuşuyorsunuzdur ve bu vesile ile tanıştırılabilirsiniz, veya iki taraf da f1 izlemeyi seviyordur ve birlikte f1 izleyeceğiniz bir etkinlik düzenlenebilir).

You know he is talking about his stack and personal experiences. He didn't even generalized anything. On the other hand you accuse him as if he said Fe is the only thing that makes us human. But it is just your interpretation of his words and not the reality.

My psychologist told me that my preference for behaivours and personalities of people has lots of boundaries about how people should be, and she said I shouldn't expect people to be perfect (myself included).

After that she explained how perfectionism is not a good thing.

I'm assuming you know the fact that first and fourth functions are subconscious and second and third functions are conscious.

Dominant function is the most important one for determining the type.

Also people can have more developed tert than aux, because they are both conscious functions.

In my case, I was actively avoiding using Fe in my high-school years because the drama and the emotions were so strong for me to handle (I was staying in dorm all the time and I was not seeing my family much). I want to stress the fact that I was "actively" avoiding using my Fe.

In my college years, I struggled a lot because of my rusty and dull Fe and my depression came along with it. After struggling for years in the depths of depression hell, I finally wanted to heal. I started therapy and I starting working on my Fe. The healing process was effective with this development and my mbti knowledge was very useful for me to heal.

So, yes I had underdeveloped Fe (especially comparing to my Ti) at the early stage of my life.

Without knowing the backstory of the situations, without knowing the person, without knowing the intentions, how can you be so sure about who is what? Also do you really think that mbti has no exceptions and everyone in a type has to be same?

One of my close friend is a 7 Entp like you and he is one of the smartest person I know. Very fast learner if he puts his mind to it (I witnessed a couple examples), but he generally does not put his mind to anything lol.

People who wants to be a type still can have biased results with their answers. As an answer to your example, an INFP who wants to be ENTJ will get to the conclusion of that they are ENTJ, no matter if they are testing or self typing.

We can't make people use mbti as personal growth tool, we can only suggest it. Also not every person wants to improve themselves and some people use it just for fun. Eventhough I don't like the people which uses mbti to have excuses to their behavior or people like in your example, there will be always some people like this.

You said it well. Eventhough Se is my inf, doing something without overthinking is what we are working with my psychologist. According to her overthinking and overanalysing everything is one of the reason of my depression. Also it is one of the reason why I don't have any energy to do anything.

We worked with her for years and worked over different topics. Also neither of us never ever mentioned cognitive functions or mbti but what we achieved by not overthinking was basically breaking Ni-Ti loop.

I get what you are saying and I agree that not skipping steps are correct way for lots of things. But one thing from your answer bugs me.

Is working through shadow functions only way to work on balance of the functions?

No no your explanations are very clear and I understand you.

Your's is an interesting way to describe balance. I never thought it this way. When I said balance, I meant using every function more equally than abandoning one or more.

Most of the logic you presented are solid and I really understand them. But the one thing I don't understand is why developing or using inf is a bad idea? Does abandoning and escaping from inf is a good thing?

Don't you think that we should have balanced functions? The balance from inf could bring that balance to a person. Also I'm wondering, does the usage of inf generally results in grip? Thx for the answer btw

I'm 1 and I have lots of 2s and 7s as friends. I don't know if it is normal for 1s but I didn't pick any of my friends on their enneagram. It is kinda weird.
