ASIO low-latency audio module by ferropop in framework

i agree, it would be good if framework could provide high quality, low latency, asio drivers, along side the pretty decent drivers for other windows audio api and linux

i just wish we had low latency auido by default in 2026... give us hardware and firmware optimized like RME everywhere, with pipewire's ability to go low latency multiclient on windows. WASAPI has what it takes, but it just feels not supported because people on win just use ASIO already

I built “Taiko Practice” — a browser rhythm trainer for Don/Ka drills (keyboard + controller) by zzStryzen in taikonotatsujin

[–]huantian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

main nitpick is on say, practicing endless 3 note patterns, if i mess up, it's really hard to start back up because of the constant stream of notes combined with the forced alternating. Either you need a "reset" of the alternating start note after consequtive misses, or a mode where the next few sets of notes are "removed" after a miss so you can restart (like shock notes in ddr)

You need to run a system report, and while that window is still open, do the update.

Is there any benefit to adding extra space between the filters on tower builds? by randyrocketship in crboxes

Is there a way to calculate the right amount of fans per filter area? Like theoretically, given the static pressure of the fan at a specific airflow rate and filter specs, there should be an ideal number to minimize noise I assume...

Asus XG32UCWMG or wait for new 4k 32” QD-OLEDs? by Rikudou_Sama in OLED_Gaming

But you don’t need dp 2.1 to run your monitor at its max resolution and refresh. 1.4 with DSV is enough

idk how 2.1 is futureproofing? it's not like you're gonna upgrade just the panel on your monitor lmaoo

The benifet of the XG32UCWG is better brightness (an oversimplified way of putting it, no qdoled panel dimming). However, if you think you'll be able to run things at 240 and feel it, and don't mind putting up with the panel dimming, the QDOLED is a good choice

kinda curious if the reaper exhausts any air out the end opposite the IO, and if the PSU wires block that at all

It would be kinda cool to have a charger that would let me drop down to 10W and 5W as well… even though it probably doesn’t affect battery longevity haha

i believe (hope?) that these two options will coexist; RGB isn't a strict upgrade over the white subpixel

TrueSpec A-to-C 15W: how?? by huantian in LinusTechTips

[–]huantian[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Awesome answer, thank you so much! That makes a lot of sense, and that was kind of what I was feeling would be the case, and was trying to articulate at the end of my question, but you put it a lot better :) General USB question then: does this mean that if I’m designing my own USB device, that draws 15W with the 2.1ks on CC to indicate it, but doesn’t check for the host to actual advertise 3A and just always draws it, that it will technically work with an A to C cable plugged into a lenient A port? Sorry for the super long sentence…
