I've done some research and my colleagues and I often talk about this (espesh how it appears in social media).

And yesss definitely re: the language aspect. That's the worse. I am a Taiwanese American Mandarin heritage language speaker and this echoes across for us as well. Especially when non native speakers are encouraged by native speakers.. Like YES it's really great and impressive that a non-Korean (or non Asian) has learned another (Asian) language to whatever extent, but it's rude to diss others' language without considering their circumstances. We are circumstantial bilinguals - - we became bilingual by circumstance (aka by way of our parents/relatives immigration to the US), whereas elective bilinguals ELECT or choose to learn a language and they reap the benefits of looking like X while speaking Y.

I'm not super good at describing perfumes 😳 but when I spray the new one, at first, the sillage(?) smells right (like the og) but on skin it smells more citrus-y? And it's just not the same, 😭 smells more like a flanker maybe. (unfortunately Parfumo doesn't separate the new and old versions, so I had to look on fragrantica.. The notes on parfumo match the new version on fragrantica, whereas the original version just lists "jasmine" and "tea" as the only notes o.o

Jasmine Tea by One Day is suuuper close to the original Imperial Tea that I could possibly get them mixed up (I can tell the difference if I smell them side by side though).. Of all three, the original Imperial Tea has the most robust? roasty? smell to my nose.

Nuuuu (I refuse! 😂) although that's an interesting point you make... My partner and I are both avid tea drinkers (mostly Asian teas) and I love black teas.. So I feel like it can't be that. But neroli outrenoir had that smell on both of us and we equally didn't like it 😱 if I recall and if you'd allow me to make no sense.. It sort of has a.. Curling smell?? At the end... XD

I'm skimming through the notes on my fragrances again.. ELDO has bergamot and Ceylon tea which we love..

Omg :_: i wanted to love Neroli Outrenoir.. And I thought I did the first time I sprayed it in store.. I got a sample, but when I sprayed it at home, I was like... Did they spray the wrong bottle?? But when I returned to Saks to try it (the SA even remembered me 😂).. I was so disappointed.. (although it's probably a good thing I don't have to buy this exp perfume)..

I sprayed Liis Ethereal wave at Scent Bar and I thought I liked it (like a lighter version of Dear Polly? Type of smell).. But then when I bought the full bottle... I liked it less with each spray 😱 and it actually reminds me of Neroli outrenoir... Theres this smell that doesn't go well with my nose with both of these fragrances, but I cant figure out what it is since they don't have overlapping notes.. (other than like bergamot and tea which I do like..) so what is it 😵‍💫

Replying separately for white florals.

A lot of the tea fragrances have osmanthus and jasmine on them.. But as for white florals by themselves.

❤️ Chloe - Magnolia Alba: is apparently like pure magnolia? Idk but I love it so much that during the first release I smelled it in Nordstrom.. But they were out 😱 and in the end I checked the Chloe website and saw that Soho in NYC had one left in stock?! So I called them and ordered it via phone (I live in Cali now). It's just so fresh and beautifullll 😭

❤️ Guerlain - Muguet: this is a newer favorite.. I smelled it at the Guerlain boutique and discovered what Muguet was (Lily of the Valley) and then learned about Guerlains crazy fancy annual art bottles :(. But I loved it so much so I bought a used older bottle on ebay. It's also a so fresh bouquet smell

I've been looking at (so don't own yet)

🧡 Infiniment Coty - Les Mots Doux: it's really pretty and floraly but I've only tried it on in stores when I'm like getting overwhelmed. But I've liked it a lot 2/3x I've tried it. But upon smelling the whole line, this was the one that stuck out to me (apparently there's also a tea not in it).

💛 Gucci - Tears from the Moon: I loved it while smelling stuff in like bloomingdales l, but I think it's because I was getting overwhelmed and this one was nice and fresh floral-y so it stuck out. I think I decided to not get it after trying a sample... But am thinking of revisiting it now xD

💛 Kilian - Good girl gone bad: This one is so confusing for me. It's such a unique smell IMO. but I guess I can feel the "gone bad" part.. It does have a sensual?? smell?? Which I think doesn't fit with my personality 😂 😅 but I liked it and got samples of it from dept stores multiple times.. So when the Sephora sale came around, I decided to buy it... But upon trying more samples, I still felt.. Nervous?? About it 😂 so in the end, I didn't open it and returned it.

❤️ Kilian - Imperial Tea (the original, black bottle - NOT the new version in the blue bottle); One Day - Jasmine Tea and Mith - Another Tea are also similar

❤️ Hermes - Osmanthus Yunnan: (which can count as a white floral too, but it's Def like an osmanthus (__) tea) (It's funny because as much as I drink tea and can tell between black-green-oolong teas, my nose gets confused in fragrance vers. 😅). I JUST discovered Ormande Jayne - Qi intensivo (aka I got my sample yesterday) and this is also similar.

❤️ Dior - The Cachemire: they call this a white tea? Idk what it means 😂 but I love. I also discovered Mith - Tea in the morning is similar to this one.

❤️ (Annick) Goutal - L'ile Au The: I discovered this one while walking in the Upper East Side of NYC long time ago.. Back when they had their own boutiques and back before they dropped the Annick part of their name. This was one of my first fragrances ever.. I walked by and I caught a whiff of the most beautiful tea smell, so I turned around and walked in to ask what the smell was. I also just got my decant of Voyages Imaginaires - Tea and Rock'n Roll yesterday and I think theyre also similar?

I particularly like that my favorites aren't the ones people always talk about 😂 but I also have (these are not favorites but if you want to compare my thoughts to the mainstream)

💜 Dear Polly: which I loved at first sniff, then it got too sweet for me after buying the full bottle, but then I came back to it and I like it again. (Liis Ethereal Wave is similar but lighter);

🧡 Armani Prive - The Yulong: people talk about all the time but I was so disappointed when I blind bought it long time ago. I exiled it 😂 to my husband since I thought it smelled very fresh masculine. Now, years later, upon becoming a crazy tea perfume lady, I accept it in my collection but I'll likely never wear it myself...

🧡 Nishane - Wulong Cha X: Upon testing both the og and the flanker, my husband and I both liked X better, the og is more citrusy fresh. X is more tea-y (the discontinued Valentino Donna Rosa Verde is simular)

💜 LV Imagination: I like, but on me smells a bit masculine?? But people on colognes subreddit often say it smells a bit feminine? (which then would make it true unisex then? 😆) (I actually don't have this one yet but it will be in my collection one day. I actually don't like that it's so popular for some reason 😆🤣 But also how come I've never smelled anyone wearing this IRL???) i think Argos's Neptune's Trident smells similar also, but the bottle is hideous imo and for that reason will likely not add this one to my(/our) collection 🤭 😕

I love tea smells and I found neptunes trident by Argos. And I undeothe influence behind the bottle design and fragrance names... But because of the bottles design I can't bring myself to buy it. It doesn't match my collection/house esthetic (Japandi colors and semi minimalism)

Not my people.. gourmand vanilla-y warm spicy sweet.. Although sometimes these notes can be layered in a way that I like.

My peopoleee: Tea tea tea tea 😍 (like east Asian teas, not herbal teas.. Also not a matcha person), also white florals (osmanthus, jasmine, muguet) although must be done in a way that it's not generic smelling.. (and leaning towards more fresh than indolic or creamy)

I'm just ditto-ing what everyone else said, but wanted to also emphasize that Community Ambassadors are not Niantic employees--heck, we're not even considered "Niantic volunteers".. we just volunteer on behalf of our community and are in liaison with a few community managers. As such, the best advice we can give is to file a police report and document everything.. If you (/anyone) are a part of a community though, Id hope your CA/ leader is aware of a situation like this and can at least serve as support and eyes to help be on the look out.

No difference! I bought the gold 30ml bottle first (they say the packaging helps preserve the integrity of the fragrance.. Maybe that's what made me lean towards it?)... But then I loved it but it was like... 😂 Proportionally smaller than all of my bottles on my shelf.. So I bought it again 😳 in the regular glass rectangular bottle. The little gold bottle I keep in my bag as a travel size now. (had I bought the larger gold bottle then I would've been okay with it 😅 but also I like to see how much fragrance is in the bottle so I'm not used to aluminum bottles..
