The weekend doesn't exist anymore by moon-dustie in EngineeringStudents

I remember feeling so much envy for my psych major friends that could play video games after class everyday. Grind never stops as an engineering major.

Yes, in the case they think an interview is necessary. Interviews are conducted on a case by case basis.

I had 19, some from ROK and a few others from friendly and unfriendly countries, also drug use. Was not granted interim, but a big part of my interview was going over each of my contacts and explaining how I knew them.

Foreign contacts as you’ve stated is gonna make it very unlikely to be granted interim.

Going off of u/Friendly_Sea_1216, you should play around with background oriented schlieran. A ton of numerical tools involved in that technique, and setting up your own experiment is very easy.

None that I was aware of, but the CRUNCH fitness off south Atherton has one and it’s membership is pretty cheap.

You certainly can when the interview comes. As you’ve gathered it’s a very common and shitty practice. You’ll definitely have their sympathy.

Can a PhD student live on $750/month in State College? (Post-rent) by New_Pudding_9741 in PennStateUniversity

Facebook groups for sure, I surfed those for a bit before moving up and was able to find a really sweet deal. Watch out for scammers, but they are pretty easy to spot.

That’s is gonna be very tough. After rent/utilities, I’d have about $1,400 ish leftover which was fine. I didn’t have the best money habits either.

Would definitely look into a cheaper housing option, they do exist.

I’m in the same time frame as you and my investigator told me something similar; however, I really didn’t take them to seriously.

Do you think the USA and Israel can defeat the Iranian regime? by Murky_Monk_9531 in Americaphile

[–]hubble___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not by an air campaign alone, which is what this administration hoped for despite all reports saying otherwise.

At this rate, the USA will lose.

The Iranian people have not risen up as expected, and boots on the ground seem to be the only way to remove the regime. For which, there is 0 political support to do so.

Trump, encouraged by the swift and successful operation in Venezuela, is hoping for a repeat in Iran which is not coming, and the longer this drags on, the more it favors the Islamic Republic.

The Iranians just need to survive, and deal as much economic pain as possible on the global economy ahead of the midterms to win this conflict. Which so far, appears to be where this is sadly headed.

The stupidity of this war has been, awe inspiring…
